I’m glad there are some comments that had some thought that went into them. I’m on the same side of the fence in that I believe all these Top 10 Lists DO boil down to opinion, so its fairly difficult to make me mad or surprised at any of the choices on any given list.
However, is it a general consensus that the Bubsy games sucked? One could say its a flaw by design and not by glitchiness in that you die in one hit, but it made the game as difficult as it needed to be. Yarn is absolutely everywhere, and while you may not want to collect the exact same pieces of yarn every single time you die just to stay alive, once you learn the mechanics of a game and how to avoid most enemies(glide as often as you can and, like Sonic, take every high route possible) the 2D games can be enjoyable.
I had no problem with Bubsy being on the Top Annoying Characters list, just the bashing of the games is what surprised me.
While I’m at it, Shadow the Hedgehog’s character is now the typical ‘crosses arms and refuses help from his abundant friends that are willing to lend a hand’ type of role, when in SA2 his character was a lot deeper and interesting. To avoid spoilers and long story short, his personality changes based on what he remembers of his past, and with the help from Rouge, he realizes that being the ‘tough mysterious guy’ is all a ruse and that he ultimately needed to help Sonic. They never should have brought him back to life, but alas, it is what it is.
I have to say that I generally never take top 10′s seriously, because they’re all about opinion and the whole point is sharing that opinion with others, if they agree or not. However, the number one spot really rubbed me the wrong way. Don’t get me wrong, I was shocked and confused and stared at my TV in shock when Raiden was revealed to me as well.
I would say Raiden did ruin the game at first, but after playing the game as him, and completing it, I recognized it as more than just a plot twist. It was something new, something daring, and something that wasn’t just “safe profits.”
Your reasons to put him at the top of the list (nagging girlfriend, and the way he looks? really?) are less of an intelligent and thought out opinion and more of a -please excuse the wording here- “fanboy outlash.”
The reasons you gave of the other top 9 were nice; Waluigi especially. You gave well rounded opinions that may not be agreed with, but were still very valid points. Raiden, though, was just… Very disappointing.
Why not comment on the lines that he was put in the game so players could observe Snake from a different perspective, and then say that if we want to know about a character, we should focus on THAT character, not someone else seeing our character?
You could have pointed out that Raiden was a pawn in the larger game, much like Snake has been, making Raiden a copy of Snake. A bait-and-switch while keeping the same character(like Nero and Dante from Devil May Cry).
You could have pointed out many other flaws about the character, all of which COULD land him the number one spot. Instead you say “he looks like a girl even though he isn’t one”? Seriously? You’re judging a character based on looks, then saying its ironic because he’s popular in Japan and basically calling them weird because they like that?
You made strictly biased and somewhat sexist remarks about a character based on their looks, and then proceed to bash his relationship (which was a plot point and not just meaningless).
You could have done so much better than this. Next time you should be more professional with your lists, keeping your own views and opinions but backing them with facts and not childish accusations.
I am so glad you guys put Waluigi on this list. I’ve been on two panels at conventions where people asked what video game characters we wanted to kill/punch the most and both times I answered Waluigi.
Thanks! Waluigi is just pointless, he’s filler material. And a quick design, some opposite Luigi, but comes across as a clone of Dick Dastardly.
When Nintendo can be bothered to make a valid game starring him (Super Wario Bros?) Then I’ll reconsider him.
Also Foreman Spike and Stanley need to have games, Nintendo have buried them in the Nintendo/Mario world.
Before people complain about a top ten, please be aware that a Top Ten is only based on personal opinion, and not any scientific facts. (unless it’s like “worst selling” Etc.) though some of you may not agree with the choices, I would emplore you to respect our opinions.
I would implore you to spell the word “emplore” right. Before you move on from putting a character voiced by Keith David at number two on your dumbass list and compare him to Jar Jar Binks of all characters, consider this; you didn’t explain why the Arbiter was annoying and why we should agree with you. You even had the gal to say that “everyone hates the Arbiter” even though he very clearly has his own fanbase, therefore you’re proposing that your opinion is supreme and by extension, anybody who likes the Arbiter is a nobody. Why should I respect your opinion when you clearly don’t respect mine?
wow i cant really believe i really did this but yeah this this just made me furious at arms, the arbiter at number 2 NUMBER FUCKING 2? number 3 when there are thousands of more charters to put on this list? he was a war vetern in his run only fucked up once you got to see a differnt side of the covenant that yeah there were bad guys over there but they werent just mindless monsters that wanted to kill and rape humans if it wasnt for the arbiter i wouldnt of contuined the halo series and boy am i glad i did. so lets adress some of your issues he looks like poo hmm well all right sure halo 2 came out in 2004 the graphics wernt the best the humans were the only thing in the game that rometly ressembled any type of realism and just barely. you dare compare him to jar jar binks? really? are you sure? soo jar jar was a war general that has killed thousands in his carrer and gone on countless sucide missions and realized that one of the only reasons he was able to go on was his faith in the reglion was a lie? yeah jar jar did that all the time right? yeah….. there were litlarly over hundreds of different charters you could of put on this list, the starkiller from force unleashed jonny cage from the mortal kombat, Kratos and his steroid induced ass, gary oak from pokemon, i want to watch a couple of more of your videos before i decide to never watch you again GO BACK AND LOOK AT THE ARBITER AS A CHART HER AND NOT ONLY BY THE LIMITED GRAPHICS AND THE MISSIONS HE WAS FORCED INTO
This list sucks
You know, for a couple of guys who want to claim that they wanted to avoid obvious targets, you couldn’t have picked a more obvious character than Tails. Tails is a character that people have hated since the beginning merely on the unfair grounds that he was an afterthought. There’s a lot of other things on your list that’s horseshit for me to give short summaries on, so let’s count the ways shall we? Here’s my top ten reasons why this top ten list is full of shit:
#10: Awesome Possum
I don’t even know who the Hell this character even is. The only reasons you listed for him to be annoying are the fact that he shouts one liners, one liners of which you never let us hear examples of by the way, and that he’s a Sonic knock off. Okay, those two things aren’t necessarily annoying. For one thing, we never get to hear any examples of what he says so we can ascertain as to why the one liners are annoying for ourselves. Secondly, the fact that he’s a Sonic knock off is not annoying, it’s sad and pathetic. Big difference. Also, the environmental message is an annoyance of the game itself, not the character. Oh, I might also like to correct you on your little rant claiming that plastic is the worst thing you could produce into the environment by saying that plastic is recyclable, ’nuff said.
#9: Ashley
You see the problem with this choice is that the reasons why the character is supposedly annoying isn’t because she herself is annoying but rather because she wasn’t programmed to defend herself and you have to escort her. But here’s the thing, what’s annoying isn’t the character’s personality or how they prohibit you from certain tasks, but rather because protecting her is the objective. Escort missions are annoying in general, yes, but that doesn’t make the character annoying.
#8: The Sims
You do realize that there exists such a feature as auto-mode right? You know, where the characters can control themselves? Also, ever hear of the fucking mute button, most computers have that feature. Fail.
#7: Captain Novolin
Who the fuck is Captain Novolin? Again, you’re not even talking about the character, but the game itself and how everything else BUT the character is annoying. You also complained that the game was expensive, well guess what, these are all arbitrary reasons to say that the character himself is annoying [Just like Awesome Possum] and yet, simultaneously, I still don’t know a thing about him or why he personally sucks.
#6: Waluigi
Really? Out of all the Mario characters you could have listed, Waluigi is the one you pick? He’s one of the least annoying Mario characters out of the whole bunch. I mean, you have Toadstool, you have Luigi, you have Yoshi, you have Princess Daisy and you have motherfucking Princess Peach and the one you pick is Waluigi? Jesus, you could have at least picked Wario who’s actively annoying in the fact that he attempts numerous times in sabotaging Mario and that he can’t accomplish anything on his own unless it’s his own game or he’s been given special augmentations. Again, you’re just bashing the character not because of his personality traits but because of the arbitrary reason that he’s an afterthought without his own franchise. I’d personally like to see the character in more games to be fully honest.
#5: Otis Washington
Truly the only character who deserves to be on this list but again, if you wanted to avoid picking obvious characters just because, then why did you pick Otis of all people? I would have picked the convicts from the game because if you have the wrong weapon, which would be anything other than the Megabuster, they’re almost completely broken and you have to use exploits to beat them and they regenerate each and every night.
#4: Bubsy the Bobcat
Never heard of him and again, most of the reasons you list are arbitrary to the character himself. You basically bash him for the same purposes and reasons as you did Awesome Possum; the game is broken and he’s a Sonic rip off. Nothing more, nothing less.
#3: Miles “Tails” Prower
Really? Again, out of all the characters you could have chosen from, Big the Cat, Amy Rose, Omochao, Charmy the Bee and motherfucking Silver the Hedgehog, you chose Tails? Again, you’re attributing the character as being annoying for the simple fact that he was programmed poorly, something that doesn’t at all reflect any one of his personality traits and is therefore an arbitrary reason to call the character annoying. Again, Tails has been hated ever since the beginning because he was an afterthought, so you couldn’t have picked a more obvious target than Tails which is another bad thing on your part because you outright said you wanted to avoid obvious picks for the line up. And Shadow of all characters is annoying? I don’t recall him having a necessarily high pitched voice, constantly talking, being loud with stupid one liners and prohibiting the player in some way. Oh and by the way, not everybody hate’s Shadow, lots of people love him. You’re opinion is not supreme and being paid film critics doesn’t excuse you from that rule. And please, don’t try to attribute Sega’s decision to continue pumping a set of new characters into the games with every sequel to the characters themselves as though they’re not fictional characters and actually have a say in the decisions Sega makes, that’s just idiotic and childish.
#2: The Arbiter
Really? Now you really are just being nit-picky morons. Firstly, the Arbiter himself is not annoying, he’s voiced by Keith David of such awesome shows as Spawn The Animated series and Gargoyles and he only occasionally speaks. Again, you never list a real reason to regard him as annoying, you only put him on the list because he’s a secondary character, an afterthought whom of which you have to play as instead of Master Chief. All of the reasons you listed are arbitrary to the actual character himself and really, you’re comparing Keith David to motherfucking Jar Jar Binks? Okay, it’s official, you two are fucking retarded.
#1: Raiden
Really? Your only reason for hating the character isn’t because his voice is high pitched and whiny or anything that actually constitutes as annoying but because he replaced the original protagonist? Grow the fuck up. You sound like a couple of eight year old kids bitching that their favorite character doesn’t get the spotlight 100% of the time. And because he’s effeminate? Are you sure you’re not retarded? Because I’m pretty sure that saying you hate someone because they’re, not acting effeminate, but because they merely look effeminate is among some of the most immature things you could possibly say. Again, the reasons you have against this character are arbitrary to the actual character himself and it’s just pathetic and whiny.
You’ve failed with all ten listings and got worse and worse as you went along. I won’t be watching any one of your other reviews, because at least when Leon Thomas bashed Minecraft, he gave good reason for it because those reasons were actually relevant to why he hated the game. You on the other hand… well, you’re annoying.
Wow… I actually kind of agree. I don’t really agree with the insults you gave to Wez and Larry, I mean it’s just a game list after all, nothing to hate on somebody over, but you are completely correct on this list being full of shit.
One of the biggest issues I have with this is that they mentioned they weren’t going to pick the obvious, but in EVERY LIST they ALWAYS put in some of the most ludicrously obscure bullshit in it anyway, and to say they WILL do that for an entire list is like if Charlie twittered he will snort a pound of cocaine.

Yeah, here’s the thing, I shouldn’t have to resort to the comments section of the video in order to understand what you meant to convey in the video itself, mainly because that’s what the video itself is meant for.
Admit it, you did a shitty job and you selected characters you had to have known you would have gotten backlash for, especially without context as to why they were selected.
Okay, seriously dude. I didn’t agree with everything on the list myself (as you can see from my earlier response). But the namecalling, insults, and profanity is extremly unnecessary. I hope you’re not over the age of 12 talking like that. Because if you are, it’s even more of a crying shame. At the end of the day, we’re talking about VIDEO GAME CHARACTERS for crying out loud. For instance, I’m a HUGE fan of Tails. You don’t see me cussing people out for calling him annoying, though. Because that would be… disturbing, to say the least. I can see why you’ve named yourself “psychopath”.
So in other words, you’re going to try and disparage my points by pointing at words in my vocabulary and saying “that’s bad and that’s why your points don’t hold water”.

As much as I disagree with this top ten list, I have more respect for it than I do for your written tirade above. Also, you pointing out that other people on the internet also cuss and act insane on the internet doesn’t really add any credibility to your post anymore than being surrounded by a mob of knife-wielding serial killers would make it a good excuse to run up and stab the next person you see to death. In #4 defense. Bubsy the Bobcat is pretty annoying. Go watch his cartoon show if you want to see how annoying he is. Is pretty much him repeating the phrase “What could possibly go wrong?” again, and again, and again, and again, and again……. and again, AND AGAIN, AND AGAIN!!! While a bunch of random crap happens in the screen.
Yes but the problem is that this top ten list doesn’t make that apparent, which is what I complained about in my comment; they never gave an example.
I’m less surprised that Tails was named one of the annoying characters and more surprised that anyone cares that he was named one of the annoying characters. I mean, really guys, those Sonic sidekicks are a dime a dozen.
I stopped watching when I got to Tails. In that one instant, you guys lost a lot of respect points with me.
I have two problems with how you guys went about putting Tails on this list of yours:
1. Why is Tails even on the list? Is it because of him, or is it really because of you? I mean, sure, it can get you killed if he hits a monster before you do and you fall through it to your death. But to be honest, isn’t that really your fault for not paying attention and learning to work with game mechanics? And yes, I lost the chance to grab a chaos emerald a few times in the beginning when he’d go into the bonus stage with me and get hit. But after playing it for a little while, it’s freakin easy with or without Tails! And I usually have way more rings than required at the end! Again, it’s called learning the game’s mechanics and knowing how to move according to yourself and the character following you. If you really suck so badly you can’t do that, how is that really Tails’ fault?
2. Of all the characters in the Sonic universe, you have a problem with Tails and Shadow? Really? I mean, this is the same universe in which exists Big the Cat, Chip the, um, whatever Chip is, and Amy, who could quite possibly be the poster girl for the Society of People who Hate The Color Pink. And you pick Tails, who is without a doubt the most useful buddy Sonic has had following him on his adventures. I mean, you can moan all you like about the hiccups you can have by sucking while playing with him in tow, but what about the times when Tails would fly Sonic in his plane towards a base Robotnic has built in the sky? Sonic can’t fly. Tails can, with his tails OR in a plane. He could have gone ahead without Sonic if he wanted, for cripe’s sake. But he takes the time to make sure Sonic can ride along so he can continue to be the hero. That’s not just a good sidekick, that’s a good friend. Also, I recall a part in Sonic 3 in which Sonic actualy HAD to have Tails carrying him in order to defeat Robotnic and stay alive. Also, Shadow the Hedgehog is actually quite cool. He’s a well built character, has an excellent storyline, and is actually well received among Sonic fans in spite of your claims to the contrary.
To be quite frank, the quality of your top ten list took a major dive when you got to Tails (and also metioned Shadow). In fact, if there was a top ten list of worst top ten lists out there, yours would probably come in at number 4 on the list. Not the worst I’ve ever seen, not by any means, but still pretty bad. Yes, just having Tails on your list made it that bad.
Also, Raiden is actually quite cool. So, maybe your list would come in at number 3…
Seems like I’m going to have to agree with the majority here. I really did like the Arbiter. In fact, I enjoyed playing as him more then I did Master Chief. I’ll admit my bias in liking him more because of Keith David (aka Goliath) but I thinking I’m just as entitled to that reason as you guys (Wez and Larry) are to your whining that he’s an “annoying” character for no other reason than you don’t like him.
I can see the disdain of Raiden, but I also found him to be a good character too. Perhaps it was because Metal Gear Solid 2 was the first Metal Gear game I ever played, but I enjoyed controlling Raiden as much as I did Solid Snake. Yes, at times he did become grating, but I still think he was a well-developed character. I genuinely felt bad for him when he found out he was being used and fucked with.
I’m also going to throw it out there, that Raiden does in fact look bad ass based on the commercial for Metal Gear 4. I believe that’s a great example of the developers actually listening to fan feedback and deciding that his character could be improved upon. Plus it helps that when we see him again, Raiden does appear to have aged since MGS2. He was definitely a newbie seeming to have just started out in Sons of Liberty so knowing that, it makes sense that his character would come off as slightly annoying, immature and full of himself. Older Raiden has the look about him that he’s seen a lot in the intervening years which has caused him to grow up.
Still, it really does seem like when it comes to annoying characters, you put them on the list simply because you hated them which as TheAbyss stated, hating/not liking a character is not the same as considering them to be annoying. And it really seemed like all your choices were made because you two didn’t like them.
The list looks like a whole load of nitpicking….

Oh but your list, that’s totally fair and balanced. I wonder if you’ve ever noticed how many people have thumbed you down in retaliation of not only your bullshit, but the four alt accounts you use to give yourselves thumbs up.
Im quite surprised at this list and how you two handled it. lets get to number 3 first. Now your facts on Tails are all false. Tails has never got me killed in Sonic 2 he shouldn’t at all for anyone unless you got stuck with a beta version of the game which if he gets hit you lose rings. this was not the case in the released version. Ive grown tierd of seeing him appear in lists like this because hes in general not annoying at all. his AI is stupid but i do not hate the character for it. Tails was also not the reason for Sega adding more characters. Sega is to blame not an imaginary character. And id duck your heads beneath some covers boys because the millions of Shadow are going to bombard your emails and what not with hate mail. and Raiden really? infeminite? i hope you guys have dug yourself a deep hole with that one. that was borderline offensive. through out your review you gave very bias comments on this review. you guys need to stand in neutral ground for your viewers to take your comments as your opinions and not bias attacks on certain characters
While I won’t argue with you not liking the list and your reasons for it, I want to remind you that Tails, in fact, IS very annoying and can easily kill you in both Sonic 2 and Sonic 3. Mostly in boss battles. When you jump on Robotnik and bounce off him to hit him multiple times, Tails may hit him and activate his invincibility frames, thus making you fall through him, plummeting to your death.
While one could argue that you could easily prevent this by hitting Eggman only once every time, it also slows most boss battles down significantly. Not having Tails around is just more convinient.
This and the Sonic 2 bonus stage are problably the two reasons why most people (me included) deactivate Miles when they play those games (or just play as Tails or Knuckles alone).
I have to say, if I ever did a “Top Ten Worst Top Ten Lists”, this would have to rank very high, if not number one.
I get that these top tens are based mostly upon personal opinion, but when the only bullcrap reason you can come up for your top most annoying character is being “effeminate”, particularly when he doesn’t even compare to legitimately annoying effeminate male characters, it just comes off as thick-headed and offensive.
Moreover, the majority of the video is just spent whining about the characters, not demonstrating the case for their spot on the list. What, this character has annoying one-liners? Do you mind letting me hear some of them so I can see for myself instead of forcing me to listen to you two whine at each other? Please?
I hate being so negative, but this video really bothered me, and I hope very much that you two can do better than this.
This was one of the full blown Xleague in control of creativity videos I’m afraid, so a lot of the jokes and lines ascertaining why we chose them were removed to our frustration.

Anyway, when you say that Xleague (no idea who that is) was in control of the creativity, are you saying they wrote the script and you just had to deal with it?
I don’t really like this list much at all. First off its been years and people who love RE4 still call the enemies zombies SMH; it would be ok if you were casual fans but, you say you really like the game, so why not call the enemies by what they are. As for Ashley, she never really bothered me, and just cause she has to be escorted doesn’t make her more annoying, just the game, which it doesn’t anyway cause escort missions really aren’t that bad.
Next, neither #7 or 6 your reasons for them being on the list wasn’t because they annoyed you it was cause they were useless and/or pointless.
and Seriously your going with Tails, he is one of the least annoying characters in the series, and really Shadow was a good character… in SA2 after that he was kinda pointless, but not ever annoying, really.
and #1 was more whining about not playing as Snake then it was actually describing why he was annoying(seriously you only gave like one reason that’s actually about Raiden).
I’m not complaining about the lack of obvious picks, its that half this list about annoying characters, was more about characters you didn’t like cause their games were bad or actually gave you more to do or switched things up a little and made things more interesting, cause that’s such a bad thing apparently.
A certain character… one that really only popped up in the last few minutes of the game… and forced you into a trio of terrible choices… recently has been put on a most annoying list for way too many gamers.
That Game I’m talking about is Mass Effect 3. Connect the dots yourself on which character I’m on about.
i wonder when the whole mass effect 3 bullpoop is gonna wash away. THAT character wasnt annoying at all. infact it kinda made sense in all ways including the indoctrination theory. THAT character was in the forefront of sheperds mind all the way through the game. so if you want to take some sort of form to actually have sheperd listen to you .. THAT would be the form you would take. i think the more annoying character in that game is the illusive man.. shows up a couple times then dies in a nippy way without a proper fight.. poop to that

I love Ashley, Raiden, and Tails. You didn’t give that great of reasons of why they suck (although I can understand Tails he acts really stupid sometimes lol). So because you didn’t get to play as Master Chief or Snake the whole time those other characters are annoying? I have never understood that logic. I also hate when people say Raiden sucks because he is effeminate. omg worst insult ever to be effeminate am I right?! Because femininity sucks and is inferior to masculinity always and forever!
Unless you were joking, I call bull on your #2 and #1 slots. You just never sound like you’re joking, even when you make cracks about characters that were actually good and weren’t on the list. And before someone says I don’t get Brit humor, there are tons of other Brit reviewers, and they’re… well… funny. This was a list, that’s all I can say. I can’t say it was entertaining in any way, so I’d have to judge by your choices, which… you’ve read the first half of this post.
This list makes no sense to me. Most of the picks are either rip-offs (which are less “annoying” and more simply “pathetic”) or secondary characters you just don’t like (and personal dislike =/= universal annoyance).
Also, your below comment about not going for “obvious” picks makes things all the more baffling for me because it shows you’re avoiding universal appeal. Why should I have to listen to your top ten lists if all you do is make esoteric choices I can’t agree with, and when you DO pick characters I know, you insult the fanbase of? (“Nobody likes X!” YES THEY DO, YOU SOCIALLY BLIND IGNORAMUS!)

You had Arbiter on list who is not annoying charachter but you didn’t have either Navi or Slippy…
Actually while they can be annoying sometimes I think Tails and Shadow are fine…so long as they aren’t main characters or get in the way. Big the cat, Amy Rose, and Silver are far more annoying and useless.
Ironically my number 1 pick would be Chip from Sonic Unleashed. Imagine if Navi and Jar Jar had a child and then multiplied their annoyance by 100 and you would just get an idea of how bad Chip is. That game would still be shit without him but Chip is the turd sprinkles on that diarrhea sundae.
I don’t understand how you can say characters like Arbiter and Raiden are annoying… You don’t like them, I got it, and I can respect that, but not liking a character and a character being annoying are complete different things. If you’d rather play as Master Chief and as Solid Snake instead of Arbiter and Raiden does not make those characters annoying.
And BTW, both games are GREAT!

They are yes but not just by girls guys too. Im a Tails fan myself. And i know many other males who prefer Tails over the other characters in the franchise.
I loved the hell out of the first 2 Bubsy games as a kid, but the cartoon pilot was dreadful & Bubsy 3D remains one of the 10 worst video games ever made.
Never played Sims 2, but I remember in The Sims you could set them to be self reliant; use the bathroom, set the alarm, & cook without being told.
The most annoying game character I can think of is Aerie; the love interest from Baldur’s Gate II.
I think Xzar was more annoying, Aerie was okay, I love the Upper Class girl in it

How was the Arbiter annoying? His placement doesn’t make much sense. It just seems like his placement here is only because you weren’t playing as Master Chief the whole time. I mean, he wasn’t annoying, he had a great voice actor, and it’s not like the game got lame like it did with Raiden. Seems like the better replacement should’ve been either Navi or Fi from the Zelda games. Truly obnoxious characters.
Arby has the same VA as Goliath from Gargoyles, which to anyone who has seen the show boosts Arby’s cred a bit.

If you say Waluigi is annoying, I’ll argue Daisy is as well. Neither have their own game and only appear as playable characters in many Mario games. Now that I think about it, my sister would always pick Daisy and I would pick Waluigi in Mario Party 3. Bit of irony there.
My choices for annoying character(s)? The monkeys from the Ape Escape series and Tidus from Final Fantasy X.
For the monkeys, it’s bad enough you have to chase them all throughout each game; it’s even worse when you have to re-enter each level to catch ‘em all to get the final ending! If that wasn’t enough, what I seem to always fall for when ever I played: 1. Chase monkey, 2. Monkey turns around and hits me, 3. I fall off ledge/into pit. -_-
Tidus, on the other hand, I never noticed how his character unfolds when I first played. Later, I watched a few reviews *coughSpoonycough* and then remembered muting my TV whenever he talked.

I’m surprised Navi didn’t make the list, and you guys chose Tails over Amy. Navi always bugged me, and a lot of gamers didn’t like her either.
Navi’s not THAT bad. Tails, on the other hand, completely fucks up your bonus rounds in Sonic 2. I’d always go to the options menu and choose “Sonic alone” so Tails wouldn’t react a second behind me, and lose rings from bombs that I successfully dodged.
While I have to admit that I didn’t expect Raiden at number 1, I wouldn’t have put him on the list at all probably. I don’t really mind him, but I can see why people where pissed off.
Tails on a high place is somewhat unwarranted I feel. Don’t get me wrong, he IS annoying if theres nobody with a second controller, but you can easily turn him off in the options. Granted, you might not have known that you can as a kid back in the day, but still, the option is there.
I kinda expected Navi to be the clichéed number 1. Kudos for not even putting her on the list!

Since I played Skyward Sword, everytime I hear a “hey, listen” joke I can’t even laugh anymore. Because Navi is nothing compared to Phai. Yes, Navi’s voice clips where annoying after a while, but she didn’t constantly interrupt your gameplay to point out the bloody obvious in as many textboxes in a row as possible. It’s almost like Nintendo forgot that kids can think a bit for themselves.
Which is a shame, because every Zelda game after OoC and before Skyward Sword had fairly enjoyable companions/tutorial characters.
Cheers, we’re going to avoid the obvious “number 1′s” for future top tens, like E.T. being number 1 for a whole host of Worst lists. But I must admit I never really found Navi that annoying.
I don’t see how you could not find her annoying. Mainly due to her I have never been able to finish a zelda game.
So… Navi being in one game of an entire series makes you unable to finish the other ones? Sounds more like you don’t like the Legend of Zelda series to begin with (which would be totally fine, I’m not judging or anything).
