Snivy is so… darn… smug.
Sure, you may think that the importance of this trailer is seeing the main characters, Black Kyurem, and White Kyurem in motion. However, we all know, deep in our hearts, that we were most excited to see Mareep again. That fluffy sheep has been out of the spotlight for far too long, but no more! Gaze upon its yellow wool and despair!
Seriously though, the new protagonists look just as faux-hip as you would expect, with wacky anime clothes and Princess Leia hair. There were also some gym leaders and the character who will likely be your rival/leader of the Team Rocket stand-in for the title, which is cool. All the names we have so far will likely be changed before the English release, but if you’re curious head over to Adriasang. If I can express some disappointment, it appears that the “new Pokemon” promised earlier apparently don’t extend to new starters, so we’re stuck with Smugleaf, Herpderp, and Pignition again.
Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 are currently set for a June 2012 release in Japan with a planned third-quarter 2012 US and UK/EU release to follow afterwards. The games will be Nintendo DS exclusive.
Gah, I hate the starter Pokemon. Smugleaf’s the only one that looks okay, but Grass pokemon kinda suck. ~.~
Oh Snivy, why did they not call you Smugleaf? Then again, he’s awesome no matter what his name is.
I put Mareep on my SoulSilver team, so I’m okay with this. Not interested in putting any Hoenn Pokémon on my team in this, since I’m waiting for the Ruby/Sapphire remakes, although that doesn’t mean I won’t get this. Since I got White, I’ll be getting White 2 because I’d like to see what happens if I go by that logic rather than following the version mascot.
At the end of video there was a new legendary btw its in Black/white coding but never add to the game.

Did you intentionally use Tepig’s evolve form to describe him, or was that just making fun of him without thinking?
Smugleaf, Herpderp, and Pignition were the names the Pokemon community gave to the starters before we actually knew their English names. I was just poking fun at them.
Huh. Never heard “Herpderp” before; I always saw “Wotter.” Maybe different forums had different nicknames (although Smugleaf and Pignition were everywhere).
The 3 I always heard were Pignition, Smugleaf, and Odderp.
