Earlier this month, Atlus took to Facebook, asking their fans if they’d be interested in a reprint of their hit RPG, Radiant Historia. The response was overwhelming, drawing nearly 700 responses. Atlus appears to have gotten the message as they announced today that they will be reprinting the game in late March. For those that don’t understand the gravity of this announcement, copies of the game are selling for upwards of $150 on eBay. If you missed the first print run, you will finally be able to purchase the game for a reasonable price.
Radiant Historia garnered universally-high praise, even earning a perfect 10/10 score in our review of the game. The use of a time travel mechanic was fantastic, rivaling that of its SNES predecessor, Chrono Trigger. You can pre-order the game now, but no special extras appear to be included. I suppose having the game re-printed is special enough, right?

Yeah I went ahead and put in a “pre-order” for the reprint from Amazon so when they get their stock.. I’ll get one, if nothing else for the sake of posterity. Think this and a few other games have taught my me lesson when it comes to a “wait and see” approach with Atlus stuff.
I think this is another strong example for maintaining “on demand” printing for games, especially if you’re a small publisher. Think of how much money they could have made if they offered the game, new, at even half of those ebay prices.
Since I’ve heard good things about this, and because it sounds pretty interesting, I’ll definitely be getting this.
Radiant Historia was the first RPG in a while that actually grabbed my attention (last one to do that was Persona 4) and wouldn’t let go until I’d cleared it entirely. I’m glad a great game like this is going back to being available again.
This time people better BUY IT. D:<
I may just get a second copy for the sake of prosperity.
I was actually insanely lucky to find a USED copy of the game only 20 miles from my home. Even still, it’s nice that Atlus is reprinting it. I might just get a copy for my buddy, provided this reprint doesn’t sell out again.
Radiant Historia, for me, was the first RPG since the PS2 era to really cross the line between being good and true greatness. It’s nice to think that I’m probably not alone in this.
I managed to get a copy last year from Amazon (NO retailers in my area were selling it, what the hell) and it’s awesome. I hope the reprint sells better; it’s a really awesome game.
Wow, it got that popular? I traded my copy back to Gamestop as soon as I finished it (kept the CD, though
). I am a 90s kid and loved the SNES RPGs, but the time-travel mechanic got a little old for me and I knew I wouldn’t be playing the game again. I replayed scenes so often if felt like I played the whole game five times.
Very nice. I already have Radiant Historia myself, but it’s always great news to hear a game like this is in-demand and getting more copies made, especially from Atlus.
