I have to take the total opposite approach. Hearing about and subsequently purchasing (UMDs of) these games has given me enough reasons to not waste the money on a PSVITA for a very long time.
While I own this game, I have yet to actually check it out. Playing a game where you play as Magical Warrior Jeanne d’Arc against the villanous monster-army sporting English is a concept so crazy I couldn’t help but to jump at the chance of playing it, but my backlog is fierce… one day, I suppose. One day.
Also, there seemed to be some rather spoileriffic scenes in this show… or am I just being too thin-skinned here?
I think I’ve put off getting this game long enough. In fact, I’d hate to say I almost forgot about it before you brought it up here. Thanks for the reminder. I’ll be sure to pick it up as soon as possible!
It’s a great game, but if I had to choose a tactical rpg on PSP, it would be the one you forgot to mention: Disgaea, which I believe to be the best tactical rpg period
Since it’s usually a years-old port from a home console it may not get as much love as some originally-PSP titles though.
It’s been way too long since I played a tactical RPG, what with the last Fire Emblem game not coming to the US and me lacking a PS3 to get the new Disgaea games, so that video really made me want to go pick this up. Too bad I’ve got too many other games coming out soon to be willing to do so just now.
Oh well, Devil Survivor 2 should help sate my desire for the genre a bit.
Honestly I wasn’t fond of JDA. What I played felt sorta like playing Fire Emblem if everything was moving at half speed. The concept was so silly/cool (Joan of Arc as a magical girl? Sign me up!), it was even one of the games that sold me on the PSP, but it just couldn’t hold my attention very long. Felt like it focused to much on being a standard SRPG and not enough on what was unique and endearing about it. I’m told the final boss is bugged and tends to crash the game, but perhaps this is erroneous, and I didn’t play that far myself.
This is one of the few games in our countdown that I haven’t played. I freaking love SRPGs and I want to play this game so bad. Too many games, so little time!
These PSP 25-in-25 arcticles are great, this will definatly be my guide for when I get a PS VITA.

I suddenly get why Bluebeard thought Saber was Joan of Arc
