Most days Twitter is filled with inane ramblings, passive-aggressive nonsense, and pointless bickering. Other days, like today, Atlus uses it to make everything more awesome. What am I talking about? This right here.
Yes, the game formerly known as Persona 4: The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena is being brought to North America this Summer as Persona 4 Arena. The fighter, which was developed by Guilty Gear/BlazBlue masterminds Arc System Works, will be available for Xbox 360 and PS3. The confirmed playable characters so far are Yu Narukami (the protagonist), Yosuke Hanamura, Chie Satonaka, Yukiko Amagi, Kanji Tatsumi, Naoto Shirogane, and Teddie from Persona 4, in addition to Aigis, Mitsuru Kirijo, and Akihiko Sanadafrom from Persona 3. Given Arc System Works’ track record, keep your eyes peeled for an eventual PS Vita port, as well.

Awesome news. Can’t wait.
You know I already preordered this thing.
Yes. ;D And if a collectors edition is announced I’m upgrading to that.
No thought on it.
Just going to get it.
As much as I love to throw money at Atlus, probably going to pass on this one. I’m just not much of a fighter person.
I only can hope that it also comes to europe :/
cause I love Blaz Blue and Guilty Gear + and the few personas I’ve played and would love to buy and play this alone and with my friends
Well, this is coming out faster than expected. Kudos to you Atlus, with the summer release of this, Growlanser 4, and Gungnir you’ve made a killing on my wallet for the summer…and I couldn’t be more happy to lose said cash, lol
This summer? That soon? Wow, I was expecting a fall or even winter release.
Well, color me excited. With Arc System Works on the gameplay and Persona Team on the story, this should be great.
Wait a Minute. Didn’t Persona 4 already got a P4A?
I expected the change would be just ‘Mayonaka Arena’ to ‘Midnight Arena’.
But in all of seriousness, SWEET! Can’t Wait for it!
There better be rocket jumping and railguns.
The name sounds shit now. I liked the original name better because it sounded original. Just giving a game a Arena subtitle won’t cut the butter.
“Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium” was a pretty original name (still is), but I doubt it does the movie any good today. Do you remember that movie? I don’t.
Long story short, originality is nice but having a name that rolls off the tongue without much difficulty is better and slightly less intimidating to curious buyers, especially if they’re not familiar with the franchise in question.
Fair enough but it’s no reason to down vote me 8 times. I’m sorry I had a different opinion to all of you.
