This gives me an idea for a whole new genre: the second-person shooter.

As details about Rockstar’s Max Payne 3 have trickled out, most fans have come to accept that the popular character is no longer a cop and that the game will take place in São Paulo, Brazil. Now it’s time to absorb the actual thrust of the plot, which is finding kidnapped trophy wives.

Interestingly, the end of the video notes that the special edition will only be available until April 2nd. That’s not something I can remember having seen before, so I’m curious as to why Rockstar went that route. Do you feel pressured to pre-order early now? Max Payne 3 will be available on May 15th, 2012 for Xbox 360 and PS3. The PC version will be ready on May 29th 2012.
