This time around its personal, which means bad news for a lot of people.

After successfully resurrecting the long dormant Deus Ex series last year, Square Enix has now set their sights on bringing back another seemingly dead series, Hitman. Now the company has released the newest trailer for the game and Blistered Thumbs has it ready to go.

Long before the days of Eizio and Altair, there was another assassin who ruled the roost, one who was not afraid to embrace the raw and awesome power of the cardboard tube. I speak of course of Agent 47, the barcode tattooed star of the Hitman series. While it has been over five years since the last time Agent 47 graced consoles and PCs alike, Square Enix and IO Interactive are bringing the man back in Hitman Absolution, a game that they clearly hope will only be the first of many new missions. While the jury is still out on that, everyone can at least check out the game’s latest trailer below in the meantime:

Hitman Absolution is currently due out on a as yet to be determined date this year for PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. Stay tuned to Blistered Thumbs for continuing coverage of the game and be sure to share your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below.

I have now lost all of the excitement I had left for this game. At least I still have blood money.
