That's one way to be afraid of dead things AND be a necromancer – Blindfold! Why didn't I think of it before?!?
If you thought I was done with Beta news, you might have had decent reason to, but will have already discovered your presumptive ways lead to nothing but ruin… Ruin I say! Your ruin in this case is exemplified by the possibility that you could have missed this news post, and never learned that Guild Wars 2 was accepting Beta applications for 48 hours, of which 46 are left.
Yes, starting at 6pm GMT today, applications for Guild Wars 2′s run at the beta phase began right over here. A sort of one-of-a-kind formula in the MMO region, Guild Wars 2 builds its reputation upon its predecessor, offering a AAA MMO gaming experience without the need to commit to a subscription model to enjoy it. It was a big hit with many of our correspondants at E3 last year, and certainly one of the most anticipated title of 2012 for the mouse and keyboard crowd. Don’t delay! Well, you can delay if you like, I just wouldn’t recommend delaying any longer than 45 hours, as chances end on Friday.

Having been a gamer since 1986 when his father brought home an IBM PCjr with King's Quest and Crossfire included, it seemed destined that PC gaming and Johnny Maloney's life would run parallel forever. Despite his occasional affairs with movies, books, music and single malt scotch, he's never once left the side of his PC. In fact, on a full moon on a friday the thirteenth, if you sit in his old chairs... chills will run up your spine if you say "you fight like a dairy farmer," and you can sometimes hear ghostly whispers in the night respond "how appropriate, you fight like a cow…" -- Attempting to contact Johnny at Johnny@Blisteredthumbs.net may be successful.

One of the coolest bars in gaming also happens to be one of the most interesting.
No… No…
How did I miss this?
My life will now be a series of failures and disappointments until I eventually commit suicide in 4 years after experimenting with every hallucinogenic out there.

So, what does AreaNet look for when inviting people for beta tests of their games? I’ve never tried signing up for one, but I seriously wanna play this game since I’m thinking of getting it when it releases.
i presume sens they want to take a look at your PCs stats they are mostly looking for odd machines to test there game on the more random parts you have the better. they also want a varied range of ppl some that have never played a game and some that has a very well rounded gaming expenice so they can see how ppl find the game and where and who has issues where
most likly what they do is they invite a bunch of ppl with some odd untested setups, these ppl they honestly don’t care if they give feed back or not sens they will go the game dosen’t work me if they can’t play it so they get the info they need easly that way
as for the ppl there sens of there experince, it can be quiet hard to get the info from these players sens they will most likely just not say anything and they often don’t invite alot of these ppl sens they can get way more valubal and easly obtained info from there Q&A department.
and you never know witch part of the invites your are in O.O
