Six million units worldwide. Few games can really claim to sell that many copies, but when they do they deserve some amount of recognition. So congratulations to Zumba Fitness, the newest member of the six million units club!
Yes, its true. Majesco’s fitness game has sold six million units worldwide. According to CEO Jesse Sutton, “We grew revenues over 65 percent in 2011 … Zumba Fitness has taken the fitness category by storm, selling over four million units worldwide in its first 12 months, and topping the charts as the number one fitness title of the year in the US and UK.”
So good for you, Zumba Fitness! I may have to give the game a try sometime for my Wii, I can always shed a few pounds.

Dancing and Rhythm Games get on my nerves for how derivative they are. Yearly Sequel games that have even less innovation than the Madden games and in most cases don’t even contain every song from the last game, or want you to pay a small fee to play them as “DLC” content.
And yet everyone seems to give the games a free pass year after year. Someone, anyone, rip into one of these games for once!
5.5million copies are sitting, unused, prefaced by the words “I’ll start tomorrow”
