Really interesting. It does seem like a pretty bad ass case. While not actually video game related, it’s actually nice to see a review as different as this on the site. If possible, I actually look forward to another non-gaming related review (as long as their as bad ass as this), and hope to see more of them in the future.

I have a question ZGR, you said before “You have no ideas about cases and the quality tests”, why the hell are you doing this kind of review which is not even really a game-related thing or even thought to be used for gaming related things… and you don’t even have a idea about these things? blatant product placement for money-making or something?

This is really sad, you got paid by a unrelated company to show a unrelated product… sorry but I would have never allowed this to be posted on a gaming site.

I think what they were aiming for was an unbiased pov about their product. It’s one thing to have specific needs and wants in a product,\ and have peer or prior knowledge of what you need to look for; it’s another to be a the generic customer who would think “a box is a box, what so special about that box?”

If anything, Pelican is hoping that with this, they could interest more video gamers in their products. It’s what marketing departments do.

What? Dude, are you listening to yourself? you should think like a customer, this site is a GAMING site, you know what a gaming site is? there should be stuff about gaming. So now, let’s logically decipher this video.

Review of a case, the case looks like any industrial storage cases out there, there is no pre-defined gaming utility or any remarkable feature in this box that is not existant in most standard industrial storage boxes.

And now they come here and tell me that this NORMAL STORAGE box (every storage box with a lock is mostly shock resistant and has rustfree steel for obvious reasons) is for gaming… what the hell? and they justify that by saying “well you can build or put your xbox or gaming console in here!!!”

        This is about COMMON SENSE.

You are not using common sense, you are using buisness sense and you are just a doll that is being controlled and manipulated by those.

If I would post a Toyota Review on this site and justify that review by saying I can build a xbox in it with a screen, does that make Toyota a gaming product? NO, its a scam, a lie and a dirty try at expanding market by abusing ways of marketing to unrelated content.

I work for a company who distributes Pelican actually. While their flashlights aren’t the best, Pelican is one of the best cases you can get, even with the rather hefty pricetag. Some of their cases actually are bullet proof as well (Not that I’m suggesting you shoot it) and come in a lot of sizes. I mean, they rolled a truck over it… A TRUCK.

Though if you do get it, Measure first then cut, the foam isn’t cheap to replace for many of the cases.

Well seemed interesting enough, I had to think for a while to come up with some sort of reason to buy one but I got one. a monitor for desktops. mine is relatively small (I think) so I think it would fit in that one and I’m always a little nervous when I’m moving the monitor from one location or another.

I’ve seen these Pelican Cases used as a mobile gaming device. Mount a monitor to the lid and install your Xbox and a battery. Pretty slick. But these things are really for people who travel a lot and need to bring electronics with them.
