The second in an apparent ongoing series of videos, the latest I Am Alive update from Ubisoft focuses on how to deal with others properly when trying to survive in a Dust filled world.
I Am Alive is poised to be either one of the true great comeback stories in video game history or just another example of the Daikatana/Duke Nukem phenomenon. While only the final release of the game later this year can truly settle the issue, the new ongoing video series at least helps to establish some idea of what to expect going into this unusual survival game. Today’s video focuses on both how to deal with others and the techniques and tools of combat available to players as they make their way through the crumbling and poison filled environments of Haventown. Check it out, along with the game’s official description, below:
I Am Alive is set for a Quarter 1 2012 release to XBLA and PSN. Stay tuned to Blistered Thumbs for continuing coverage of the game and be sure to share your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below.

Is it really true they will only release it on consoles? if it is true i got another reason to be angry with Ubisoft.
Haven’t bought a Ubisoft game for a while because of the lousy way they handled Silent Hunter 5.
i thought I Am Alive could make me forgive them a bit….
I love how…human each trailer makes the game look.
If that carries over to the game, this will be an unforgettable experience. My expectations are still very high.
This does look intriguing. The element of strategy (at least according to the videos) makes me think it may just be a step up from the usual FPS fare of late.
On a related note, I’m wondering when BT will get their hands on Last of Us. That trailer too looks interesting, and it’s by Naughty Dog, who generally makes some excellent games. Any word on a BT preview/demo?
I’m not really a fan of post-apocalyptic games (Fallout 3 and Fragile Dreams are the only ones in that genre that I really like), but this intrigues me. Will definitely check out the game when it’s released… if Ubisoft doesn’t delay it again.
