RAD episode 228-MechWarrior 3

Alright, freeborn you’ve challenged the clan Birdman and today is the day you die!

In today’s edition of Review a day.ca Birdman sits down and talks about one of his favorite universes with MECHWARRIOR 3! The Inner Sphere has withstood the assaults of the clans and now it is time to take the fight to them and wipe Smoke Jaguar from existence. In all things however something does not go right and we are left stranded with no hope of support or rescue against an entire world of pissed off clan warriors who want nothing more then to grind you and the Star league into dust and this is where our mission starts.
It is Birdman and his lance of Mechwarriors to take down the remnants of clan Smoke Jaguar and as the saying goes
No guts, no galaxy!

Birdman

Mike Dodd is the guy who always said video games could be turned into a profession and eventually it turned out he was right. Mike is a passionate nerd about all facets of nerd culture from the love of the BBC’s Doctor Who to the very latest in the fight game scene, he’s on to it and likely turned into his new obsession. Dodd was raised to love all things that were pop culture from viewing his first horror movie at five years old to owning one of the first Nintendos in North America, it’s been a childhood dominated by the controller and movie screens and he couldn’t be happier. Roleplaying games such as Dungeons and Dragons dominated the high school years and unhealthy doses of Japanese anime were frequent as he completed his education and took sometime off to explore Canada and the US. However as all good times must come to an end, a decision was made to get some experience and do something fun and learn something and meant getting involved in the media. Mike volunteered with Rogers Television and became the audio/technical director for several successful programs and decided that he should further that experience by going to college. 4 years and several massive headaches later, Mike became known as “The Birdman” of This week in Geek but that is a story for another website….

I will fight it in the street to make it work!
I’m tempted to cobble together an old rig with Windows 98 on it to make it work LOL

    I miss my MechWarrior experiences
Seriously had some great memories with this franchise
I should review the old Xbox game too!

Not a bad idea! I recommend you check your local P.C. shops for some old parts, or even a full computer. The guys at my local shop gave me an old ’95 machine, which i used to run Z.

I’ll have to ask my resident tech and see what he says
He may have parts laying around
I’d love to have a Windows 98 SE machine again lol

I always hated the look of the Annihilator, too. Looks like some weird alien thing or something. I rather like the Daishi, though…

Anyways, great review, mate. MechWarrior 3 is 1 of my all-time favorite videogames. Hope you get Pirates Moon to work at some point..
