Play Minicraft Now! ,
Markus “Notch” Persson, the now famous developer of the venerable PC game Minecraft, has a little treat for you. See, over the weekend Notch participated in the Ludum Dare 22 competition, where the goal is to create a small, playable game in 48 hours. The results…well, feast your eyes on Minicraft.
The sprite-based adventure has you play as a mini version of your block-headed avatar, surrounded by numerous trees, caves and creepers, only armed with a workbench and your fists. The typical Minecraft game occurs; killing creepers, making items and collecting resources, all in pixelated form. And thankfully, the game is now available to play as a small Java Flash game.
So what are you waiting for? Give it a try! It won’t replace it’s more blocky big brother, but it is a nice way to waste an hour or so at work.
