I wonder how many coins I need for an extra life?

For those who don’t know, Club Nintendo is the new fun club for Nintendo fans. A service where you register your Nintendo products and are rewarded with coins to spend in the shop on their website, which can net you some cool swag, including Nintendo hanafuda cards, Zelda posters, and Mario washcloths. But it looks like the service has expanded their horizons to include something new to the table; actual downloadable games.

Starting today, Nintendo will have four rotating games available for download, two for the Wii, and two for the 3DS. From now until January 10th, Super Mario Kart, Fluidity, 3D Classics: Xevious and Mario vs Donkey Kong: Minis March Again will be available for a download at the low prices of 100-150 coins a pop. Not a bad deal, considering the coins are practically free money if you buy a lot of Nintendo products. Although the chances of having these items already is likely too.

Regardless, if you are curious about any of these games, or just want to replay some Super Mario Kart on your Wii, crush open the piggy bank and spend the equivalent of a 1-up today.

I actually bought Fluidity about a year ago for WiiWare quickly after its release after seeing the trailer. It’s a really fun game. It’s a puzzle-platformer, and you control a pool of water. It’s really well designed and is clever, but never too cheesy with the gimmick.

It’s a great game, you should buy it. =]

Meanwhile the Ambassador program hasn’t been updated. since all the NES games were released months ago. Still waiting on those SNES games you promised Nintendo. They really ought to put some SNES games on the 3DS virtual console instead of all the no-name Game Boy games they’ve put up like Catrap, Side Pocket, Avenging Spirit, and Radar Mission. (Yes I know there are really good ones like Super Mario 2 and Link’s Awakening too)

I don’t want to pop your bubble, but the 10 GBA games for the Ambassador Program has been revealed and we’re getting them by the end of the week. In fact, Australia is already getting them.

Awesome thanks for the heads up. I actually forgot they’re GBA games not SNES games. But I still wish they’d put more SNES games on there.
