You know there is a problem when you make a video in Über-HD and then compress it down to 100MB. It’s going to look like crap!
That’s beside the fact that I can’t play it in the flash player on my oldish computer and thus had to download it. I’m pretty sure many other people will have the same problem with this one.

I am going to skip this game. The only MMO I play is City of Heroes and I rarely play that anymore. Bioware should have used all of the money that went into making this game and make 2 or 3 more sequels with co-op features. Monthly subscriptions are thing of the past anyways. More and more companies are making their MMOs free to play. Another problem I have is Bioware’s bread and butter is telling good stories and single player experience. Trying to put that into a MMO is a terrible idea.

Horrible idea? Well if no one tries unusual and sometimes crazy ideas there isn’t going to be much original content on the market. AN idea may sound awesome to some, it may sound like shit to others.
Now pretend it’s 2005(or something). Do you think that an idea of a game where you shoot portals out of your gun while being taunted by an AI, and NOT killing anything(except a few turrets) has a place outside an indie title? Hint: it might have. And even if you do think it has, a great majority of people would disagree with you. Would kind of suck if devs like Valve sticked to tried and true formulas wouldn’t it?
If people won’t try to do new shit than you can start anticipating the fifty-seventh installment of CoD.

Star Wars: The Old Republic looks really cool they have a great story, setup, graicths, etc… but the dont side for me i that is a MMO RPG don’t get me wrong it’s a good ideia and makes for really good and ingading gameplay its the fact that people that likes more videogame consoles will be left of this game.I’m saying this because my PC suck at this type of games like a lot this cod be like DC UNIVERSE in consoles too.Well just have to wait Joe review of this game….OH great video by the way Joe onlly frame rate drops are kind of annoying but no problem ^^

Oh dear God, your grammar is just awful. I can’t bring myself to put that nicely, sorry.

On a related note, people way to often in cooperate the graphical capabilities of the game to determine wither or not their PC can run it.

In most cases, it doesn’t matter how ‘good’ the game looks. What does matter is how well the developer programmed the game to handle. For example, Torchlight, that game requires good computer specs to run well, that’s right Torchlight, not exactly triple A graphics. In contrast, other games like Modern Warfare can run just fine on computers that can’t handle Torchlight.

From my personal experience, my laptop can handle Grand Theft Auto 4 on max settings, beast I know, but Minecraft, freaking Minecraft, well, if I walk for 5 minutes it will crash.

Also, SWTOR graphics isn’t good, no pixel pushing there, what your thinking about is the Aesthetics, well, I don’t like them but others do.

I don’t know what are “good PC standarts” where you live.(no offence intended) But torchlight can run on a goddamn toaster. A friend on mine could run it on a past decade PC.
        And to Ayzard:
I read on the TOR website that they decided on the current aesthetics to keep the system specs low so as much people as possible could play it. So unless we are talking Pentium 3 , there should be a chance for you to run it. Maybe not on the highest settings, but still.

Say anything negative about the game automatically makes me a troll? It wasn’t even critique, I was stating my opinion about BioWares poor choice of development.

I really hope you play and stay with SWTOR, that way, the games I do enjoy with other people will have less people of your maturity.

          OH-oh-oh!
“the games I do enjoy with other people will have less people of your maturity.” No, no they won’t. Youtube(and many other) comments are always equally filled with:”GW2 is best > TOR GAY!” and vise versa posts. Both games will be stuck with douchebags.
And i heard that when this project was starting LucasArts ordered a WoW clone to capitalize. Bioware did try to innovate as much as possible with MMO story etc. You got Lucas to thank for the WoW similarities.

Aw honey, it was a joke. Need an icepack?
^_^ You want a critique? OK, here goes:
          1) Fun video as always, Angry Joe!
          2) This part is redundant, but I think a subscription is necessary for a story based game. FTP games omit significant parts and privileges to keep the game free. I’d hate to play my Imperial agent story, then hit a wall and can’t progress unless I pay 10$.
          3) More redundant. Do graphics mean anything, really? Sure, some of the limited char creations, and some of the NPC designs are . . . .rather. . . off. But I agree with Extra Credits assertion that Aesthetics are what make the game, and the variety of environments and genuine personalities and fantastic music always make a great game any day, rendering lame pixels forgettable.
          4) Let’s be honest, sir. Comparing an MMO to WoW shows lack of thought. Is it a grindfest like Runes of Magic? Is it repetitive like Dungeon Fighter? Or does it create a freeworld like Eve? Or enjoyable grouping like Dungeon Fighter or Champions Online. See my point? Even if you don’t believe me, feel free to check it out on the swtor forums, there are many many threads.
^_^ So there you go. Do whatever you wish, Zodiac. But while you wait for Guild Wars, my husband, my baby, and I are going to fight alongside Spoony and the Repulbic. Ta da!

Umm….yeah, sorry Spoony and Joe, I’m just not cut out to be in a position to choose sides. It’ll just bring me to a point that I’ll switch sides repeatedly when it comes to who is winning in forum discussions and such.

So yeah I’m not joining on anyone’s side. I’m better off as a smuggler – avoiding these conflicts involving two famous personalities battling each other to get everyone’s attention. Besides, I have my own cookies and I got a dental appointment next year so I’m cool. I’m sure Joe’s Sith Empire has the best cookies to eat, but in Toronto Canada, I am okay to buy my set of cookies anyday :) .

Good luck to you both (enjoy killing each other with your lightsaber toys you bought from Toy ‘R’ Us…HAHAHA!)

I tried the thing and trust me : it has a better gameplay. everything is just much smoother and faster, your character reacts like… now. it’s reactive and it makes the game pacing much more appealing than WoW.

PvP is superiour also : it doesn’t care about your level, everything is made so your simple and pure skill prevail from stats. it kicks WoW asses on every single points.
