In this week’s episode, Leon Thomas explains why he absolutely prefers Singularity over BioShock. Really.

I like both games, Bioshock definitely more so. I don’t judge a game by how much action it throws at me. I think the devs of the game didn’t constantly throw enemies at you to build up the atmosphere of Rapture more. Bioshock isn’t really your typical first person shooter, however Singularity is definitely more in that direction.
I don’t judge a game solely on how much action is thrown at me either. That was only one of several reasons mentioned for the preference.
Good episode as always Leon.
I absolutely loved the “Scene Missing” part! It fits the setting of your videos perfectly
And it immediately reminded me of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A6mzQbFG858 xD
I hope you get a laugh out of it and keep up the good work
And you know , i remember leon mentioned him being a literature teacher in one of his videos(I don’t know if he really meant it but i’l pretend that he did.). I suppose everyone in his class knows about the show, but if some don’t and discover this video:
“Hmm i wonder what show does my literature teacher run?”
(clicks the play button)
Leon: Hey guys, i got layed last night!
If that happened to me in school i would be in epic stiches XD!
I used to be a literature teacher, but when I moved to Texas less than a year ago, I had to start over. These days, I work for the school district as a substitute teacher. No, nobody has ever recognized me, student or otherwise.
Leon you forgot to mention that singularity features the best assault rifle ever, the minigun. No i’m not shitting you people. Really, i upgrated the accuracy on that thing and NEVER traded it in for anything else. Enemy at close range? Hold down the fire button and UNLOAD . Enemy is on a roof of a building of the next city? Put that bad boy on your shoulder(RMB) and headshot him 50 km away. The minigun is superior at sniping than a sniper rifle that can slow down time . Think about that for a moment.
I’ve never played Singularity, but everything you said about Bioshock is definitely true. I did enjoy Bioshock for the most part, I actually liked the hacking puzzles.
I just can’t bring myself to kill little girls, not even virtual ones. So the lack of choices that affect story did leave me a bit sore.
You know that she was going to beat you up and take your money anyway, right?
Regardless, think of the experience as not having to get ride of body afterwards as you usually do.
In regards to the actual subject, not really being a shooter fan and actually coming to loathe the genera this generation even though I played Mass Effect 2, I just want a better RPG then Mass Effect 2 because its not an RPG. Its a shooter. And I’m starting to hate shooters.
I have Singularity for quite some time, but i never played it, but after watching this, i think i will give it a shot. Bioshock bored the shit out of me after playing just 3-4 hours, so i never finished it, running around the same flooded corridors gets pretty dull, and story is not that interesting, as i thought it will be.
Just don’t judge singularity on the first 30 minutes of gameplay. It starts out slow but gets way better.
Singularity really is a hidden gem in gaming, I like Bioshock a bit more though.
