[laughs, but starts crying soon after]

Fuck Movie Maker. Even if I don’t compare it to my Vegas Movie Studio (because my parents didn’t wanna spend $600 on the real Sony Vegas), I could still say that it’s terrible. There aren’t enough transition and effect options on it for my liking, and most of the ones that it actually has are complete crap; I had to create my own black background image because the program forces you to put clips right next to each other without being able to put space in between them; and the effects and transitions suck. (Yes, I said that twice, but it really pisses me off.) D:

So yes, I agree that if you wanted something really good, Sony Vegas and the likes is the way to go. The $500-600 are worth it if you’re an avid machinima-maker. ^^

To be honest and i could have mentioned it. While i dont condone piracy you can always search for keygens for sony vegas and what not. But still if you wanna go with something, try adobe premiere elements

Like I mentioned before (sort of), I’ve got my Vegas Movie Studio, and I’m pretty content with it as of now. (But probably because anything’s better than… THAT program.) o_o

So ballpark $800? *diesofheartattack* That’s WAAAAAAAY too expensive for me! Even if I was into making Machinima. This actually the first Smarty video I’ve seen so now I’m gonna go watch more!

I freaking love the humorous way you expressed what you thought of Movie Maker. LOL

Movie Maker sucks, as it hardly acts at all like a real editor! All it can do is string clips together and do a few preset changes to the entire video. :-P

Adobe Premiere Elements should run you about 50 bucks if anything. I know Oancitizen and Linkara both use it.

thanks man, i’ll make sure to follow these rules (and the ones in parts 2-5) so my machinima doesn’t turn out crappy. nice orange lantern shirt btw. you don’t seem like a very greedy person, but i don’t know you personally.
