Watch the CONCLUSION!Batman: Arkham City Long Haul!, 3.8 out of 5 based on 46 ratings
The final piece of DLC for Batman: Arkham City is only a few weeks away from release and now a new trailer has been released for players to enjoy.
One final mission awaits the Dynamic Duo in Arkham City and BT has all the details you need to know.
In the dark night, the dark knight got light effects to run tight in spite of slight setbacks to OSes of lower bytes. Will this affect you? It might. How trite.
Excited PC players cranked their DX11 settings up this week to look at Arkham City in all its dark knight glory, only to discover the in-game camera to suffer from a condition that induced small seizures every few seconds. Rocksteady has acknowledged the problem, and is on the case! *theme song*
The Robin DLC is finally out for those who didn’t pre-order the game through Best Buy or didn’t buy a code from someone who hocked it on Ebay.
In surely the best year for games we’ve seen in a long time, the increasingly common trend of PC version delays rears its unpleasantly ubiquitous head. Arkham City now also delayed, but not for much longer.
I can’t believe that Robin was actually Harley Quinn the WHOLE TIME! All this and the ACTUAL plot twists in our Arkham City Long Haul conclusion!
Once he was an acrobat, then a sidekick, and then he became his own man. Now, you can play as him in Batman: Arkham City.
Batman encounters a mysterious new villain as Angry Joe reviews Arkham City. Can Rocksteady and the Dark Knight live up to all the hype in this highly anticipated sequel? And just who is this new villain’s true identity? Find out!
With expectations now sky high, Arkham City doesn’t have the luxury of flying under the radar. This only makes what Rocksteady has created that much more impressive.

Arkham Asylum was a surprise hit that left gamers delighted and wanting more. With expectations now sky high, Arkham City doesn’t have that luxury. This only makes what Rocksteady has created that much more impressive. With a sizable open world, all of Batman’s gadgets at your disposable, and a phenomenal story, this may truly be the greatest comic book super hero game of all time.
| PROS | Amazing visuals, engrossing story, dynamic combat, packed with content, and simply fun to play. |
| CONS | Minor control issues, small instances of texture pop-in, and corrupted data issues. |
| WTF?! | Where the hell did Penguin find a shark and how did he get it inside his base? |
From the moment the game begins, it reels you in. There’s a ton of intrigue surrounding this new super prison and Hugo Strange’s involvement in it all. Without giving away the bigger plot points, the overarching story revolves around Batman getting to the bottom of Hugo Strange’s plan and finding a cure for the Titan venom. As you explore the massive landscape, you’ll cross paths with just about every one of Batman’s noteworthy villains. While some play a lesser role than others, they all make their presence felt in this turf war waging within the walls of Arkham City.
While it would have been nice to see these characters fleshed out a bit more, it’s hard to complain. The story is excellent and could easily rival the Chris Nolan line of films. You’ll feel connected to the characters you encounter as the plot twists and turns. It didn’t feel like I was just playing a Batman video game, I felt like I was Batman plotting my next move against the scum of Arkham. That’s definitely a sign of a well-told plot.
The biggest change from Arkham Asylum that best serves this game is its open world. You really feel like Batman as you sit atop buildings listening into thugs, glide across the city, and kick crime in the ass. Having more gadgets than ever really makes you feel like the world’s greatest detective. Whether it’s remote batarangs, ice bombs, or your electronic disruptor, you’re given a wide array of tools to tackle situations any way you want to.
With all these new gadgets come changes to the combat. You’ll be able to use your gadgets in quick attacks maneuvers like never before. On top of quick batarangs, you can now deploy smoke bombs, lay explosive gel on the ground, and many other moves to help you deal with your enemies. All these tools come in handy as the enemy types are more varied and the game will present them all in challenging configurations.
For me, the combat is definitely the highlight of the game. The free-flowing nature is so much fun, while still remaining challenging. Simply mashing buttons won’t get it done though. You’ll need to employ a certain degree of strategy if you want to walk away alive from some of the tougher fights. This combat system is unlike anything I’ve encountered and easily one of the most rewarding. I found myself taking on groups of random thugs just because I wanted to get into another fight. It’s that fun.Batman: Arkham City Long Haul!, 3.8 out of 5 based on 46 ratings
Another flaw for me was that Hugo Strange was totally underused…
Funny thing is that they confirmed a third game already… I don’t know how they could surpass this one but hey, they surpassed Arkham Asylum with this game so there could be a chance…
I have to note that Two-face was really underused. The Penguin is more of a threat than him, the freaking Penguin.
Yeah, but this Penguin was awesome. I mean, he enslaved Solomon Grundy and Mr. Freeze. Not to mention, there’s something incredibly shocking about him:
He’s voiced by Nolan North. Let that sink in a bit.
I ,personally was expecting more from Two Face, i felt he was really underused…i was hyped to see him. And maybe a little cameo from Scarecrow xD But besides that it’s a solid solid game which i’ll be playin for a loong time xD
PS : never really wondered about that shark until u mentioned it ! it rly is weird
)
I agree.
They got such an amazing voice actor for the part (Troy Baker, better known as Vincent from Catherine) and then he gets only two parts where he actually appears.
And as for Scarecrow….well…let’s just say, you have to look in the right spots to get the hints… ![]()
I found his mask , but besides that is there something else ?
Read my comments on Sage’s video review about the secret hatch and the radio frequencies.
That would have been an excellent place to put some Bat Shark Repellant. Then maybe a Bat Alphabet Soup Container.
Bought it, but ah…I’m actually kinda playing Dark Souls at the moment. Hopefully I can get around to this by the end of the year, but I also have to play Saints Row and Skyrim, and maybe maybe Skylanders.
I suck, hey?
Haha, I know how that is. When this was released I was playing Demon’s Souls, which I just finished. While I was playing Demon’s Souls though, I’d purchased Disgaea 4, which I’m currently playing. November will be basically a time of no gaming for me due to the work load it brings, so hopefully I’ll be playing this in December. I want to play it now though, haha.

What is longer than this cosplay-through? The ICE AGE! Why not CHILL with these COOL bats with some Arkham City… FREEZE PUN!
A 12:00 AM first look at Arkham City makes for one DARK mid-KNIGHT!
Dick Grayson’s out and Tim Drake’s in. Looks like Robin won’t be laying any eggs today.
A pinball winter wonderland , the return of the Ludum Dare, and the beauty of The Desolate Hope are just some of what awaits you in this week’s edition of your best source (that’s our story and we’re sticking to it) for free gaming on the net.
Man if you have a PS3 or 360 and dont buy this game, your a friggin idiot. For me this could be game of the year… but we will see. First we must see if Skyrim deliveres. + Deacon is awesome. ++ Fraser never respones to my comments. That make me a sad SNARF. (Even if there isnt alot of things to give response on. I mean… most of the comments here are meaningless) Damn this comment got a little long i think. Just like something else. Emma right? You didnt get it? Me neither. it was kind of forced. i apologize. Know what the only thing thats longer this comment is?
THE ICE AGE!
Just saw this video on YouTube, and I had to post it. THIS is sexy nurse Harley.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=amTx7ZkBHMI
As I commented there, I wish they’d spent more time making her move like Harley. She could be a in flipping burka and that would be sexy. Just give her a black and red version of the outfit in that video, be sure to capture every movement, and you have sexy Harley.
Ben trolling in that outfit has to be one of the most horrifying yet hilarious things ever.
Can’t really understand how people complain about Fraser not being very good at gaming. He’s an average player, but he’s definitely a gamer, and he and the guys do their best to just be natural, have fun and let us have fun watching them having fun.
And seriously, how FRICKING LAME would it be to have a total pro sitting there and beating the game in record time? Right, it’s like watching a buddy pwning at Street Fighter 4. Oh, teh funz.
If you want to learn how to win, watch old episodes of LordKat’s “Until We Win” or some JaeDong SC2 matches.
VGA is awesome as it is. And hey, it has more colors than CGA.
Always nice to watch a play-through, though having Fraser constantly lose his temper and snap at his friends sucks some of the fun out of it. I get that allergies along with a semi-frustrating death count can irritate a guy, but it’s a turn off when people want to watch some friends having a good time playing a major title.
For all I know, they don’t mind and it’s all part of the routine for this show. I’m new to the series and will watch more to see for myself and likely put my foot in my mouth.
So who ordered the cereal that can lower cholesterol and who ordered the yummy cereal?
Oh ignore me. I has a dumb.
Death Count so far : 22. Good job!
Oh, there’s a second session. Above Death Count is only as of part 23…
OK Death Count : 33. One for each part!
Something is wrong with episodes 20 and 21 for me. It says theyre about 20 minutes long, but only play the first few minutes of the video. Anybody having similair problems?
Great show though, keep it up!
Thanks for letting me know! I will fix it now.
I don’t know why it bugs me so much that these people aren’t that good at gaming, but it really does. It is just so frustrating to watch them play but at the same time it is incredibly entertaining. Also Joker does have a backstory just look up The Red Hood, the original not Jason Todd.
First off, they do better than quite a lot of people. Heck, many of the chatters admitted that Fraser bested them when he played Assylum Plus, if you actually beat the game, I don’t think it’s fair to call them bad gamers. Bad gamers don’t finish games. Fraser’s not the best, but he is above average, seeing as he can keep a conversation going while playing well enough to win.
Second, The Joker’s backstory changes quite often. It’s part of the mythos that we can never know which backstory is true. And, even if we did know the correct backstory, we don’t know what the reboot has done to it. For all we know, Jack Nicholson’s version is accurate.

You’re not alone. It’s really gotten to the point where I can’t even watch the show without just cursing at the screen from how bad they are. It wouldn’t bother me so much if he didn’t try to act like it’s the games fault or like he knows what he’s talking about; you can call it over reacting, but I dunno, I blame growing up with siblings who play games too. When you’re not shit at games, and you watch someone who is shit at them playing, you just wanna rip the controller out of their hands and do it for them.
Randomfox, I think this is the fourth video I’ve seen you leave a comment on saying that you refuse to watch Video Games Awesome anymore. Stop being an attention seeker.
Good job starting off with my REAL Death Count, Fraser
Like Becky said, that’s very honest of you!
Nothing useful or funny to say this time, so I’ll just finish off by praising the show again. Still no Portal 2 though
Keep up the good work Fraser. Everyday I have something new to watch because of you guys. Also, can you upload the Left 4 Dead 2 and Dead Rising Off The Record episodes? Thank you.
Playlist is Asylum.
YAY! PLAYLIST LINK IS FIXED!!
Playlist link links to Arkham Asylum eps NOT Arkham City. You should fix that.
Man, sooner or later you’re going to kill both yourselves & your fans with all this AWESOME! content! But really, what better way is there to die?
