Has anyone at EA ever played ESPN NFL 2k5?! Everything from the halftime show to the commentary was nearly perfect. The sound is so bad in Madden that one time I heard a random voice take over for Chris Collinsworth and say "Madden 12 Placeholder #82". 7 out of 10 times, you will hear the same pre-game commentary about how its hard to play as the away team. Its been 7 years since ESPN 2k5, yet no sports game has come close (EA or others) to giving the "as seen on TV" experience. Again, I like Madden, and the game play it self is solid, but the lack of polish can be rage-inducing at times, like when the poor audio in the game blew my speaker. I read a not-so-great review of this game I contemplate buying it, give in, and think it's the greatest madden I've played to date.
