Team Bondi Officially Shuts Down
The ballad of Team Bondi is finally complete, ending on a somber note indeed. It’s curtains, kid. Nothing but curtains.

Australian developer Team Bondi is not having a good week.
A few days ago, a rumor stated that Team Bondi was purchased by Kennedy Miller Mitchell, an Australian production company that is famous for releasing the original Mad Max movies. Well, today the rumors grow ever stronger, as the UK trade site Develop has reported that the remaining IP and stocks of Team Bondi have been sold to KMM. Their insider has also mentioned that the staff at Team Bondi has been offered jobs or a severance package upon the choice of leaving the company.
Now, of course this is all still speculation, as Team Bondi and KMM have not made any announcements of a possible sale yet. Several other rumors have been implicated in the Develop story; namely that the studio has gone bankrupt and CEO Brendan McNamara has been reportedly seen with KMM representatives. Regardless of the status of the studio, given the tumultuous history that Team Bondi went through under Rockstar, perhaps the change may be a welcome one down the line for the entire development team.
But what do you, dear readers, think about this news? More rumor than news? Is it good or bad for Team Bondi to switch gears and be bought out by KMM?

A pinball winter wonderland , the return of the Ludum Dare, and the beauty of The Desolate Hope are just some of what awaits you in this week’s edition of your best source (that’s our story and we’re sticking to it) for free gaming on the net.
I don’t see nor understand how that’s possible. People went fucking ape shit for L.A. Noire. It sold like mad, it’s reviews were sky high, I mean, I just don’t get it. Hopefully it is just a rumor and will pass, because if not, well shit.
It honestly doesn’t bother me that much. L.A. Noire was an okay game but it’s nothing that really got my blood pumping for very long. I’ll admit I was interested in where they were taking the series now that all that stuff about “teh facez” is out of the way and they can focus on interesting stuff like characters, setting… and plot, plot is a good thing.
But yeah, not exactly loosing any sleep over this.
I got to hand it to Rock Star, at least they were trying to do some different genres, like the western with Red Dead and the 1940s noire detective with LA Noire. (Does anyone else think “Armadillo Western” would have been a dumb name for Red Dead?)
But when I saw reviews, and even playback footage, I couldn’t help but think I’ve seen something like it before…
