This maybe a little late, but Joe, maybe you can use the summer to catch up with some good games that you missed during the last holiday season, but was on bargain bin when summer came. Next time.
some of the games that are genuinely good, but just didn’t sell as well as the other holiday big hits just that its not advertised well.
How about you tried out Vanquish? I think it is the best game last holiday, the game was 4 hours(If you are good, that is), but boy it is the best expierience I got, totally work the full asking price, but that game is in bargain bin now.

Nice special effects! That must have taken a long time to do. Anyways, as for the review itself, the game doesn’t look too bad, but it looks it would be a chore on single-player. This is the Green Latern Core we are dealing with and they made the game linear? No traveling to other worlds, no fighting other types of alien criminals as side-missions, no lore and few ring powers? I will never understand companies that make these games. Don’t they know that within a few short months, the game they made will go straight to the bargain bin? Anyways, I would join the Red Latern Core, but I am not a fan of wearing some magical ring.
Wow….first off, amazing kickass special effects! I like how you moved the camera and you tracked the effect with it, so the cracks looks like its really there on the ground.
Its the best looking effect on this site, easily! Great to know you’d go that extra mile for your vision.

And yea, when you showed the first footage of the lantern fighting, I thought “Uh…that looks like GoW fighting.” and then you said exactly that. o.o
It IS kinda weird one developer copied another one. Did think they Thor was a good game? Were they just lazy in thinking it’s okay to just copy another game and then tack on a bit of original stuff in their own and sell it as a new product? It didn’t look like they were lazy, since they did have some good stuff in it (voice acting, more variety in powers), but it’s still quite linear. =/

As with Suburban Knights, you should REALLY get better at aiming with your weapons, Joe. You couldn’t hit the broadside of a Chick-fil-A.
I think Joe is getting so used to shitty games that he finds them less annoying, I haven’t played it and never will but I expected at least 4/10 at max. Could be just me tough.
That’s the best effects work I’ve seen on this site, or Doug’s site. The only thing that didn’t look right was the fire on the car, and that’s mostly because you couldn’t make it look like it was burning.
This is probably the most epic thumbnail I’ve ever seen.
But Joe, red lanterns go feral, losing control of their mental faculties to their rage, you’d need to have a blue lantern around to fix your blood up when you take the ring off or just to keep you from banging your head into walls. Unless you’re like Atrocitus, and I don’t think he’ll take kindly to that.
That, and they don’t really make constructs…they just puke acid blood.
I did some reading up, some of the red lanterns can make constructs if their will is strong enough, though that corrosive blood (which can kill black lanterns, holy crap) and simply shooting things with their ring (which is what Joe did in the video) are the only way most of them attack.

I feel even more like a nerd for knowing red lanterns are powered specifically by the rage of loss. All in all, I’m okay with this.

At any rate, good review – especially liked the intro. Also, why do I get the feeling this was the “high point” of all the Movie License Games your looking at? It honestly didn’t look as bad as some of the others on the show.
Linear is okay for singleplayer.

Typical shitty movie lisence game but with shitty 3D that makes it even shittier than it already would had been without whole shitty 3D.

Hey Joe, you know that you don’t always have to review the bad Movie License Games if there are other good games out at the time. I know some like to see you get mad, but we do like to know which games are worth picking up as well. I mean, Catherine was just released. I’m sure we all want to see what you think about Catherine and if you think it’s good or bad.
I don’t think he will review Catherine for the same reason he didn’t do Portal 2:

Nice effects! It would have been cool if this led into Captain America, but oh well. Of course I wonder if they’re making a Conan the Barbarian game… technically he started as a book character, but he got really famous in comics!
I was wondering when this would come out. It’s about all I really thought the game would be. To be honest this actually looks a little better than I thought it would have turned out.
As far as Captain America goes, I saw the Classic Game Room guys recently reviewed the 360/PS3 version, and they seemed to like it despite it really looking like the same thing Thor, and GL were going for.

Very nice effects Joe. Though I admit, you kinda looked like a Red Lantern Sinestro in a few of those shots. Made for a great review as always.
BTW, technically, this Green Lantern game is the second game I’ve seen where a character uses a big dildo as a club like weapon…er…maybe I shouldn’t mentioned that you really woudn’t want to know,

Hey Joe when you gunna get a PS3!? Im sure a lot of your fans (myself included) would love to see some reviews/parodies for some ps3 titles. I know youre busy but Im sure plenty of people would be fine with you not doing Thor, Harry Potter etc game reviews and instead reviewed lets say Uncharted 2 or the God of War series, LBP etc… Anyways Im sure many can vouch for me when I say you are missing out on so many great titles! I also own a 360 but it still disappoints me on how little love the PS3 gets on most sites and even here at BT. As Blistered Thumbs flagship reviewer doesnt even own all the consoles :/

We could definitely use more people in DC Universe. It’s so dang empty but I think it’s a pretty fun MMO. It could probably benefit a lot from going free to play. Ah well, wishful thinking, good review Joe, I’d definitely join the Red Lanterns, you should hear my rage while I’m driving.

Well the game looked just as I figured it would. I’m just curious how much work it took to talk other Joe into riding the cute little pink bike. lol

And you know…the game actually looks kind of enjoyable. It can’t be as bad as the movie (a HUGE letdown for me).
