Oh, god damn it. All this time I’ve been taking points away from games because they weren’t Jurassic Park. I didn’t know that that wasn’t a legitimate criterion!

I loved watching your reviews when they first came out, and I’ve enjoyed watching them again. It’s nice to see how you’ve grown and found your own identity in your love for games. I never thought you did a bad job with your reviews; they were always entertaining to me. Heck, your first Silent Hill review got me into the franchise!!

As for the Jurassic Park review, don’t worry about those nasty comments; no matter what game you review, someone is going to be mad. I think a lot of that stems from the fact that the first movie had such a large following that many people were able to put aside the sloppy gameplay and design, and finished the game satisfied. From the footage shown, it is obvious that the game has many flaws that brought it down. I also think that many people didn’t get the joke for the rating system. To be fair to the game, I probably would have given it a 5/10 or 6/10; it hits the fanbase for the movies well enough, it looks really good, and it’s not completely unplayable. But you’re right, the game could have used some major refinement.

The Alien Crush review was awesome, no matter what anyone says. The game really does speak for itself, but you did well in pointing out the features as well as the music and presentation. You’re worried that your videos are too long? While that might be a problem in uploading for you, I’ve always enjoyed longer video reviews. It shows that you put a lot off time and effort into showcasing a game, and I appreciate every moment.

You’ve done well from the start Dena, and I hope you’ll continue to make videos. Your passion for games is a real asset to us viewers. Keep up the amazing work!

Thanks for the kind words ^.^

I think you misunderstood what I said, tho (or maybe I worded it poorly)–I was saying that my videos tend to be longer than I plan, but I don’t mind anymore as long as they don’t drag or “feel” long.

I love dinosaurs, and i loved the game… but it was a broken piece of shit… i still love it though, and i managed to complete it without cheating… :S
But the game was broken… broken plataforming, broken hit detection, broken controls… woah…
The best thing about this game where the videos, the intros to each character where great.
And the last video that you unlocked had Jeff Goldblum rambling at you, congratulating you for completing the game befor running away form (what it seems to be) a T-Rex… lol.

Heh, I can believe that there are people with more patience/skill than me who could probably beat it and the difficulty isn’t such a big deal, but I’m glad you at least acknowledge that it’s broken.

I wanted to love it, but it just made me too damn mad =P

Oh, more than acknowledged (that its broken).

I loved it because i was one of “those” dinosaur kids. Collected magazines, documentals, and all that stuff about dinosaurs, and loved the movies too.
But this game had many… MANY flaws.

What made the game hard was not the game per se, but the horrible controls, plataforming, hit detection, glitches and i forgot to mention this before, the enemy respawn that was all over the place… those are the signs of a old-hard game, that are only hard because of lousy programing.

But at the time was the only game (that i had) that allowed me to play as a velociraptor (thats funny, since its based on the model of a Deinonychus and not a velociraptor, just like in the movies), a T-Rex, etc. And at the time, for a 12? (maybe smaller) old kid… it was great.

Also, i love how in the back of the case it says “YOU ARE THE T-REX” just to start you with a compsognathus… lol… it was a very WTF? moment.
