I am some what disappointed that I won’t be able to join you guys in the FUTURE build, since in another server I made a flying tech house that you people might have enjoyed, but I can’t wait to see what people make in the next build. Hell, you might be better than me.

This build, it was nostalgia all over. My personal favorites were the Lorax and the Grinch areas.

hello! you might remember me back in the giant build saying ((quite dickishly)) that most of the build was pretty uninspired ((except for the sheep and pig statues)) i’m glad to report that with this build i can see nothing but creativity, not only with the building but with the terraforming, the factory and smog buildings in particuler were my faverite, anyone can say that this build was just item hacks and nocliping but i don’t care, every build was unique and fun (like dr. seuss himself) and best of all, inspired! i tip my hat to you people of the minecraft awesome server, you have all earnt your kudos this episode

Fraser, another incredible build, but your lack of rest really showed. I hope that you’ll be much more on your A-game for the next one, because a great build needs an awesome host!

I learnt to pronounce ‘Seuss’ the same way you do, so i don’t think it’s a Canadian thing.

And there was too much rhyming here, so i’m totally unsubbing.

    Like when Ben yelled HUG
    Instead of HUGE

    This Dr. Z(Suess) Minecraft
    I will now be dubbing
The day that I did my
    One millionth “unsubbing”

I registered just to comment here. Long time watcher and you guys are responsible for my Minecraft addiction a month back or so. :P It’s dimmed a little since I realized I’d have to basically dig to bedrock to properly finish my 1:1 scale model of the Great Pyramid of Giza (start simple I said, but did I listen to me? Nnooooooooo…).

BUT, I wanted to say that while AVG got on my nerves sometimes and it took a little doing.. VGA has grown on me like a cancerous tumor of joy and blocky happiness. I’ve never seen a live show and lack the money to get on the server (although I’ve been mulling over how to scrape up said money for a while now), but I try to never miss the shows when they show up on TGWTG or Blistered Thumbs.

I also wanted to ask a favor, although it may not be feasible with your setup.

I don’t normally notice it, but with trying to read the rhymes in the chat, I saw that the couch’s arm was cutting off a chunk of the usernames and of words that wrapped to a second line in the chat. I don’t know if it’s possible to tweak where the various feeds go, Fraser, to show a touch more of the chat.

Don’t get me wrong, I love the various angles in the composite video I get, and the chat isn’t always worth watch, but sometimes it’d be nice to read what they’re saying. Maybe the chat window can just have it’s width lowered a little to snug it in between the couch and side of the frame?

But, maybe not, or maybe it’d look hideous. I’m not a video guy, but I am known for saying, “Hey, let’s do X, it’d totally look better!” and then, two hours later, “No.. no, you were right. This is like 20% LESS awesome. Let’s go back to the way you had it before.” :P

Thanks again for all the awesome videos!

You’ll be happy to know that Dr. Who is a recurring theme throughout the entire FUTURE build. But you’d already know that if you watched the liveshow yesterday (which I think you did).

There is one thing I’m still wondering about.
That the chatroom keeps on yelling out.
Kept a secret from Fraser by the game’s Mods:
A hole in the town that was missed by the five clods.
You forgot all about it when they took the trip
To the Lorax build, they forgot the rip
In the floor near the tree full of Greens
What was down there, a bag full of beans?
    (Rhyming is hard!)

Great build, I can’t wait for the next one I’m really into sci-fi (but most of us geeks are ;p ). I love how Kyle was totally against all the bad puns. Fraser should be more of a happy-god. I love when he’s just randomly gives people diamonds and spawners for their work. Wouldn’t a bunch of sheep look great in that new Lorax forest? Don’t get me wrong, I love when zaps someone annoying and makes fun of Aquaman XD

Another amazing build, nice work… I’m missing the research link you mentioned for the Seuss dream world but it’s nothing a little effort on my part can’t fix. I love that you brought up Kyle’s furniture building skills, so AWESOME! I’m posting links to these sites on my FB so that all my animation and design friends can revel in these great inspirational pieces as well! Looking forward to the FUUTURRRE :)

Wow, Fraiser this build was really quite neat.
I’m amazed that they kept the Lorax so discreet.
And they built it all! From the Grinch to the Whos.
And Horton who heard them, and the Cats hat too!
I was shocked at the scope, and breadth and width.
Of this build, all the wool and the colours every little bit!
And Imagine the feelings and wonder and Awe.
Seeing gertrude mcfuzz, recreated without flaw!
All of these memories, and things from my past.
It was truly splendiforoustasticallywonderful, I had a blast!
But the best part of all, nothing could compete, not even a game made in source!
Was seeing it with my friends Ben, Fraser, Kyle, Becky and of course.
Last and least, the absolute worst, the guy who gets fraser freaking.
How could we ever forget, about our favourite nuisance Deacon?

they’re lucky this was before the 1.7 update, or else they would had to use Sheers for all that wool, (although on the plus side Sheep drop 4 blocks more frequently now)

we were actually pretty annoyed that shears came out after this build. shears are a much better way of getting wool. but pistons came out just in time for FUUUTURE, so you’ll see some really neat stuff with that

For all the wool, there’s a program called MC Edit which allows to have unlimited amounts of any block, so they probably used that.

The server is entirely vanilla. Plus, it’s a server, so they can’t use MCedit.

They got it all fairly. They didn’t use MCedit

We get everything legit. I went through three diamond swords, plus many iron and stone, killing sheep for all that wool and then dug and placed all of the blocks I collected. It’s all I did for weeks– not minecraft weeks, real world weeks. Sometimes I was tempted to ask Fraser to at least spawn us a bunch of sheep to dye, but I knew he wouldn’t and deep down, I didn’t want to cheapen the build with that nonsense.

Trust me when I say that most of us probably would not have minded if Fraser had spawned us a couple sheep spawners at least. But, one of the things we pride ourselves most on in this server is being a nearly entirely legitimate server. While some of us wouldn’t mind the occasional mod added to the server (the Aether and Better than Wolves mods spring readily to mind), we tend to frown upon people acquiring materials through a less-than-legitimate means.

Clearly you’ve paid attention to the two thousand freaking times that Fraser’s said that everything that’s gathered on the server is done legitimately.

Way to call the contibutors a bunch of cheaters. Ass.
