In case you were wondering what your out-of-context phrase for the week was, it’s “Australia is pussies.” So, there you go.

In other news, we got HubGames contributor Templar Gamer on the Community Podcast again, along with site-frequenters Chris and Robert, and we discuss a wide variety of issues that our readers have brought up on the forum. First up is the bill that may make “Let’s Play” videos illegal. What do we think about it? What do you think about it? Let us know in the comments.

After that we hit topics ranging from video game addiction to Twilight fan fiction, stopping along the way to fan a flame war or two. Make sure to listen until the end to hear the (possibly) last installment of “What the fuck are you talking about, Russian spambot?” and to hear what language the next unsolicited advertisement will be in. Will it be French? Belgian? Martian!? There’s only one way to find out, so take a listen and support the BT Community.

Jfreedan AKA Carey Martell has no problem digging up dirt on your family if you cross him. He also created dozens and dozens of fake account to get his sub count up on YouTube.

The guy is an untalented scumbag through and through.

Please, there’s no need to call the guy names. Let’s just stick to facts of what he does. After all, just stating what he does seems to be enough to make him look bad.

After the podcast, I watched that Jfredan video. If I hadn’t gone in knowing that he was serious, I would have assumed he was doing a parody of something.

I watched the commentary from Templar_Gamer, and it was okay. However, I also end up watching some responses called “Professor Commentaries”, to both the revised video and the video he deleted. Personally, I think that those where better. That’s mostly because the Professor guy kept a more level head and stuck to just logically proving that the arguments of Jfredan were fallacious.

So, how long until thejrpgfanatic tries to report this comment as a personal attack against him?

I wouldn’t worry about it, since jfreedan diffidently has no power on BT, and is likely ran by humans instead of bots. And also nice to know that you also watch Professor Commentaries as well. :3

He just false flagged the professor’s commentary on him for copyright infringement.

This was my first time listening to the podcast, and I have to say, I was very surprised!

I originally just tuned in to hear about what you guys thought about the S-198 bill, and I was thinking this would be a generally comedic podcast, like most gaming ones, but this has more of serious conversations, which isn’t bad! I really liked watching this! I’ll be sure to watch more as they are released!

Just to give some opinion about the S-198 bill, I think a lot of companies will put a clause [for lack of a better term, since I don't know much of business language] allowing people to make videos like LP’s. Notch (Creator of Minecraft) has stated in a blog post that he would do that if the bill was passed because Minecraft has became popular VERY highly because of YouTube.

About the Templar thing, honestly, I hope it doesn’t go further. I hate rage-dispute wars on the internet about gaming. Gaming is (mostly) just fun play. While I don’t think it was a good idea for him to make a video replying to it (I am assuming that’s what happenned, sorry if I am wrong), but I also think it is wrong for the other guy to respond either. I mean, while the AVGN probably gets TONS of people who hate his videos making replies (Again, assuming, since there are some things to hate), you never see him reply to them, mainly because that’s what makes even BIGGER hates start.

TBH i make videos like this under the assumption they’re willing to discuss their views and not act like it’s an all out personal attack against them and their channel

Well, Templar, you said in the podcast that you were calling his “bullshit”, and, honestly, that doesn’t sound like a simple, polite “willing to discuss views”.

I don’t want to sound against you, because from only what I heard in the video, I would agree with your side, but that is just my opinion on the responses.

well i act this way when i feel it’s clear they aren’t willing to discuss their views and instead want us to blindly accept what they’re saying, which is what i got out him and his responses, but meh, like i said, i’ve said my piece

(I started writing this before Templar replied)

      Oops, forgot some things…

On motion controls/touch screen, I think Nintendo is, currently, doing it well. In most of their most recent titles, motion controls were either full on, to attract the casual crowd (like Wii Play Motion and Wii Fit, or are supplementary, like Super Mario Galaxy or Wario Land: Shake It!, to appeal to the Nintendo fans. Because of the way the controller is shaped, like an NES controller when sideways and (very vaguely) like a modern controller with the nunchuck, it very easily allows for supplementary motion controls without full on motion controls. I remember Angry Joe once saying that he wished the Kinect will be supplementary to the X-Box controller, which would be cool.

Similiarly, with iPod games, you may have not noticed that they have motion controls in some games, that work well (Assuming, don’t own an iPod/iAnything). Fraser (Video Games Awesome) has said that people don’t know how much a gyroscope and [the other motion one I forgot the name of] helps gaming, and I really agree. Just being able to control with tilting tiny amounts, like Bit.Trip Beat, it really satisfying, because it is just sipmple movements, and I don’t have to think much about all of the buttons.

Part of me wants to … think … about beliving you.. the other part… KNOWS what the internet is about. You tube ANYONE can make an account… ANYONE! They can call themselves whoever they want.. even on here you can do it.. hell you may not even be therpgfanatic.. you may be a fanboy or a “stunt double” trying to save face or his name.

Look your proof is not proof, it is a bunch of words on a screen by people with names on them, they may have been hacked too to show off that you are trying to be correct.

In all honesty I feel it is getting way to out of hand.but that is just me. Granted I’m tempted to hear you guys actually discuss it in a calm with eachother not just he said she said bullshit! Maybe we should put up a “Jerry Springer” part on the site so that we can get all this stuff out in the open and for people who want to see it can go there.. others can ignore it.. :)

I’m just hoping after all this is said and done.. we can go on with POSITIVE stuff and not have dirty laundry from You Tube aired out on BT!

Let’s see, I can probably think of many videos/things you false flagged:

          1. One of Templar Gamer’s videos on youtube for hate speech (a 16 second video about him being blocked on jfreedan’s channel)
          2. Asalieri’s commentaries/parody videos on you (when he’s done such on many other reviewers, and they didn’t care for the most part), and got his main account terminated.
          3. My rant videos and comments on you on my main and secondary accounts (I only have 3 actual accounts btw).
          4. And several other rants/commentaries on youtube about you that I know that fall under “fair use”.
          5. Lastly, you took down mine, Asalieri’s, and several other blip.tv accounts (some of which hardly had anything to do with you)

As I stated in the cast, the only reason the topic came up in the cast is because the discussion was ongoing in the forums. As I’ve said, you’re perfectly welcome to come onto the cast, or even to discuss privately with me any concerns you have. I’m not here to “give soapboxes,” just to highlight conversations going on in the community.

I hope we can all agree to disagree and get back to enjoying games now.

And another thing to add to yours and possibly Retrogamer3′s false flaggotry is you got Game Dude’s main account terminated. Even though I’m not a fan of his, even he thought both you guy’s actions are completely unjust.
