Okay that was weird my comment didnt show up along with the video links to the mario cart thing and the Jaws fight.

Fraser what I was saying is that, that scene wasnt a replica of a scene from resident evil because of the attire of the guy who built it.

He was dressed as the bond villain jaws and the build, atleast the main part seemed to be modeled after the place where they fought in the film “The Spy Who Loved Me” which was on the underwater base of the main villian which was also called Atlantis.

I was going to suggest some kind of lap desk, but I see others have beat me to it.

It might behoove you to look around, though. I have a pretty nice one I got at the local bookstore. It’s got padding on the underside, a side attachment for a mouse, and you can adjust the angle/height. It might take some figuring on that couch of yours, but in the end it would be better for your back. (At the very least, you need a taller table!)

Watching these videos always makes me wish I had the time to participate in something like this. It looks like everyone on the server has so much fun!

Resp to Part 3:

There have actually been several banned episodes of Pokemon, for one reason or another. The one with James’s fake boobs was the only banned episode to actually be unbanned – they just didn’t include the scene.

That’s actually a Magikarp submarine Team Rocket has; they once had a Magikarp…but it got away (long story), and they once had a Gyarados sub…which I presume they had to sell as they were perpetually in poverty.

That future episode of Spongebob was the only one I still like; it was just ridiculous, but well-crafted. That scene where Squidward winds up trapped outside of time…that was still genuinely creepy.

Well have you seen us?
We summon awesome forces
We are the ones that myths and legends talk about
We’re so far beyond your definitions
We cannot die, we will not be broken

We have been chosen, the lone protectors
To rescue those who can’t survive
The onslaught of those Trojan horses
We cannot die, we will not be broken
No, no, no
No way
No, no, no
Listen up kids

So many years, so many broken mirrors
And yet the truth remains so clear
If you do not like us, you might have to fight us
We cannot die, no way

We are your average ordinary superhuman
Punishers of evil, rock and roll band
And we’ve been designated to save this crazy world
We cannot die, for this is our destiny
Come on now

Here we are now, five lone men
Standing on the edge of disaster
Holding the sword of justice
And watch the hammer fall on all those who oppose us
For we are they, and they are we, the Aquabats
We cannot die, no way

We are your average ordinary superhuman
Punishers of evil, rock and roll band
And we’ve been designated to save this crazy world
And we must win, for this is our destiny
This is our destiny
This is our destiny

For those who have no idea what I’m talking about, Yogscast is a youtube series of these two English guys (they go by Honeydew and Xephos in Minecraft) who do funny LP’s. Hey, Frase, here’s an idea for you: Get a piece of lumber from your local lumber yard/hardware store. Get a piece about 24 – 36 inches long and about 12 inches wide (longer would be better, but too long might encroach into Becky’s space). You can then set this piece of lumber on your map and use it like a table.

Another option is to use one of those “breakfast-in-bed” style trays. The only thing is, with one of those, you’d have very limited mousing surface.

You could even get creative and use your custom sized piece of lumber, and with some other pieces of lumber, construct your own tray table thing.

And keep that coffee table, so you can set it on there when you want to move, get up, or adjust position.

If you don’t like the content of a show, don’t bother watching. If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t leave a comment.

There are plenty of shows on this website, and there are plenty more shows on the internet in general. If you honestly can’t find anything better to do than come to guy’s video series and kibitz, then I don’t know what you’re doing on the world wide web to begin with.

Do yourself a favor and find something else that interests you. Obviously what you’re looking for isn’t here.

And change your user icon. An attitude like yours is a disservice to the world’s greatest detective and you know it.

also, a show called “Minecraft AWESOME!” will probably have a lot of minecraft videos

They DO play other games. Just last week, they had an entire show of Mortal Kombat – and no, I’m not referring to Minekraft Kombat, but to the actual new release of Mortal Kombat.

Oh, and get this: they also spent a good deal of one of their shows giving us an idea of their favorite internet shows, including Angry Joe, Rinny, and Benzaie – you know, the other Blistered Thumbs shows that you claim they know nothing about.

And one more thing: as Fraser pointed out in one of his recent shows, the Minecraft stuff is IN ADDITION TO the other content they were already doing. Minecraft Awesome is not taking away from their other gaming videos.

As Batman said above, if you don’t like the Minecraft shows, don’t watch them. And if you can’t be constructive in your criticism, don’t bother posting.

I actually have to support “NeoUltraMike”‘s notion.

While I personally do not care for the actual length of the video, I dislike the way you celebrate yourself in these.

You strut around in the server, acting as god, while you should bow down before the builders, cause THEY actually “spent” so much time creating these marvellous maps. You want them to bow down in front of you.. What have you actually submitted to these maps? The server. A target for your “underlings” to suck up to and beg for attention when you grace them with your presence. I know it’s all just kidding around and playing a role but I’ve seen most of the maps (Asia-Style, Western, Mortal Kombat) and this is going too far, imho. You adorn yourself with borrowed plumes here, especially when you do not prepare for these. Just look at how many Mortal Kombat characters you guys actually recognized, how many movies in Asia/Western, or even just when basking in your minions. C’mon, is it that hard to just alt-tab a character list/wikipedia?

And refering to “47drift”:

“If you don’t like the content of a show, don’t bother watching. If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t leave a comment.”

Yeah.No. The comment system exists to give the viewers a possibility to post criticism, ideas and opinions. Why do you think the “Thumbs Down” system in tgwtg.com was abolished? Cause too many fanbois minus’d actual criticism.

YES, there are trolls. There always WILL BE trolls.
But still, don’t forget your first amendment you americans just love to ram up everyone’s nose.

First off, let’s get a few things clear:

The negative reaction to NeoUltraMike wasn’t because he offered criticism, but because he apparently has some sort of beef stuck in his craw in regards to Minecraft. Not only that, but some of his complaints were untrue, and I addressed those in my own response to him.

(1) “Move on to other games. Play other series” – as I pointed out, they do play other games. The Minecraft is in addition to the other content they were doing before.

(2) “Do you guys even know your on blistered thumbs [sic]” – yes, they do. They recently highlighted some of their favorites, including Angry Joe, Rinny, and Benzaie.

(3) “It’s so freaking old and I don’t know [sic] why I’m the only person who has said anything by now.” – because no one else seems to mind, and there are people who actually enjoy the Minecraft episodes.

But I for one was not accusing of NUM of trolling, but I did point out where he was wrong in his assessments.

Now, as to your remark concerning Drift, you do have some valid points: the comment system is in place to allow feedback. I thought Drift went a bit too far in demanding that all comments should be nice. That is why I chose the word “constructive” instead. Because it is perfectly okay to offer constructive criticism.

In his last paragraph, NUM tried to be congenial. What he should have done was try to be congenial in the body of his post.

Now, as for TGWTG, I was extremely disappointed when they removed the Thumbs system. I actually prefer getting feedback on my posts, and my ego isn’t so easily bruised by something as inane as a Thumb Down. That whole thing took place because one or two critics got Thumbed Down and couldn’t handle the rejections of knowing that some people didn’t agree with them. No, their criticism did not make them trolls, but it did open them up to the very same disagreement that they themselves offered. Bottom line: if you can’t take criticism yourself, then it is best not to offer it. A few sissies couldn’t handle their criticisms being criticized, and as a result, we have now lost the comment feedback system.

But then again, even over here on BT, the Thumbs system has problems. Here, people just like to thumb down comments arbitrarily. Still, I’d prefer to have a broken feedback system in place than none at all.

The First Amendment means that no one is beyond criticism, and that includes the critics themselves.

As for Fraser’s “strutting” before his “underlings”, you yourself said it: it’s part of the humor among the people of the server. Fraser does not take himself that seriously in reality.

As for his apparent lack of knowledge concerning some of their themes, well, I’ll give you half a point for that. In some cases, if the reference is a bit obscure (or even if they hadn’t seen the things being referenced in a while), then it’s not going to be that easy to identify. For the Mortal Kombat, I don’t think it would have been too hard to at least have some knowledge of the characters, but even then, the obscure ones like Mokap and Meat would have been lost on anyone who hadn’t played those particular games. So, again, half a point there.

As I pointed out, NUM was factually incorrect in some of his points. I would expect that someone who offers this kind of criticism would know his subject well enough to know some of those things I talked about, like the show where they talk about their fellow BT personnel, or that they are still working on other games. So, basically, the charge you level against Fraser can be easily leveled against NUM as well.

No one is above criticism. Not the site personnel, not their critics, and not the critics of the critics. It’s not about having opinions; it’s about being able to present those opinions in a constructive fashion and being able to defend them if need be.

That is all I have to say.

@Vogerl

Whao there buddy. You hit the nail on the head: it is an act. If anyone has misread the way I strut around as god in the server as ANYTHING but for the sake of comedic effect, then they have seriously misread the show. I am surprised you have supposedly been watching these since the beginning and yet have not understood that.

As to my contributions to the server. If you we’re a part of the server you would understand the work I put into it. If you are a long time viewer, you would also have heard multiple time that I lierally work SIXTEEN HOUR DAYS editing and preparing for shows.

Thirdly: Prepare for Video Games AWESOME by doing research on references to video game characters so that we seem more knowledgeable about the subject matter? OK, now I truly suspect how long-time a viewer you are. VGA has never been a show about video game expertise and it never will be. We are video game fans going on the fumes of our childhood memories. It always will be.

You are taking this way too seriously for a viewer, and underestimating how seriously I take this as my life and job.
