Splash Damage’s Brink certainly looks fun, if not wholly original. This new trailer demonstrates some of the things you can do to your enemies besides shoot them, so check it out:
There’s something I want to get out of the way. Yes, the game does seem to play a lot like Team Fortress. The available character classes are soldier, medic, engineer and operative (spy), and the focus of the experience seems to be objective-based multiplayer. However, in addition to the Mirror’s Edge/Crysis 2 sliding and jumping mechanics (dubbed the SMART system), the official Brink site says:
“Choose to fight through two complete story campaigns as either a member of the Resistance or Security. Experience these campaigns solo, co-operatively, or competively – it’s your choice.”
So there you have it: You can play offline and by yourself if you so wish. Obviously, the most fun to be had with this title will be online though, where the 8 vs. 8 matches of crazy looking customizable characters are going to be chucking Molotov cocktails and sticky bombs at one another. So are you excited to jump into Brink?
This game is scheduled to release on May 17, 2011 for PC, Xbox 360, and PS3.

Finally a FPS that feels fresh & brings something new to the table ! Brink will surely keep me away from all those Killzone, Halo Reach & Call of Duty games !
Can Brink’s Parkour Gameplay rise above the game’s noticeable faults? Angry Joe has the final
Despite the overwhelming amount of negative reviews, Daniel decides to give Brink a shot. But is it worth your money in its current state?
With only a while left to go until release, Splash Damage release some interesting figures.
In case you were wondering, you can set dudes on fire in Brink.

Already preordered on Steam since early March. Can’t wait
I cant wait to play a big ol’ dude that has trouble climbing up on stuff and gets winded while jogging a couple feet, just like real life.
Looks good, although exploding Molotovs are weird.
