Minecraft + Guns= Ace of Spades, Download it Now, 10.0 out of 10 based on 2 ratings

Would you even get any Motorhead jokes I could make here?

Have you ever been been building away in Minecraft and suddenly found yourself wishing you could be shooting people in the face while you built huge structures out of tiny blocks? Well, wish no more, because you can now satisfy your inner architect and sadist simultaneously. The game is called Ace of Spades and it is free to download here.

I took the liberty of recording a little footage in case you want to see the game in action. Here it is:

I cover pretty much everything you need to know in the video, but if you’re antsy to get right to the facts I’ll relay them again. The game is still in beta, so expect some bugs. The matches are 16-on-16, but most games I’ve joined are pretty disorganized and building-centric. You may need to disable your anti-virus software temporarily to download the file, as some programs are flagging it. Anything more specific you need to know can be gleaned from the Ace of Spades Wiki.

I like the idea A LOT. I’d love a FPS where people can dig/fill trenches, with full destroyable landscape (depending of ressource gathered). People could build radars, catapults, canons, bunkers and so on too. People could dig/hunt for armors and weapons. I seriously think there is potential for such a thing.

I never realized exactly how pretty minecraft was for a game made of giant blocks until I saw this.

I apologize if my headline mislead you. This isn’t actually part of Minecraft; it simply looks and plays very much the same. It is its own game.
