We’re winding toward the end! Michelle makes one last appearance and Dr. Kaufman talks dirty before Harry goes to the docks.

The Game Den covers Shattered Memories and beyond.
Shattered Memories finally draws to a close!

Harry has finally made it home … but where’s Cheryl?
More adventures in the Toluca Mall (we’re getting somewhere, I promise)
Harry’s wacky cell phone adventures continue. Also, MAGFest.

Music Mondays revisits the band that brought us tunes from Scott Pilgrim vs. the World and Bit.Trip Runner.
I love Dr. Kaufman in this game. He just has so much personality which makes him such an enjoyable character.
Totally laughed at the space tiger line. You were totally on board for a second.
“The great loss of self …The tiger in space!”
“Oh yeah! . . . Wait, what? Tiger in space?”
Oh Dr. Kaufman. You and your smexy hypno-voice.
I’m asexual, but I found the thing with the psychiatrist really funny. I think there is something sexual about nearly all of them, like if you just concentrate on some basic shapes some of them looked like ovaries for example. But only the weirdest person would find them more sexual than just disgusting when they also do look like bugs and faces.
I’ve missed hauntings the first time around before. It’s not uncommon. The second time playing through I was going for Slutty Harry (I ended up getting Divorcee Dad) and I found -SPOILER ALERT OMG- a locker early on in the mall that essentially had nothing in it (certainly nothing you can pick up) but curiously enough, a plastic bag with the words “Exhibit A” stickered on the front, and inside, a bloody knife. Later on I found a haunting on the mall bench I hadn’t seen before. When I took a picture, it was Cheryl, and I received a Voice Mail message. It was a mall security guard reporting an incident where a coworker had been stabbed. Yeah. That’s right. Cheryl stabbed the mall security guard that was tailing her. Weird thing is, she just sat on the bench and stared in a daze. Creeped the other guy the fuck out. I was just really weirded out that Cheryl was THAT fuckin’ nuts. -OMG END SPOILER-
So yeah. I love playing through games that have more to show you the second, third, even fourth time around.
Great episode.
BTW I don’t know if you noticed, but near the end- when your on the dock trying to figure out where to go- there’s a UFO sighting right above the dock (when your listening to the phone and looking towards the lamp post). You past it a couple times but never mentioned it so I wasn’t sure if you saw it haha
Edit: Time stamp: 22:33
Anyway, looking forward to how this wraps up. Even though this is not entirely like the original Silent Hill games, it still has it’s charm.
Yah, I just thought it was a lamp while playing and didn’t notice it was a UFO until I was editing.
Yay, it’s finally here!
As an asexual (the orientation, the the reproduction), I’m actually really offended by that psychiatrist’s assertions. None of those pictures looked even remotely sexual.
BTW: Sex is death because species that reproduce sexually die individually while their species live on. Asexually reproducing species make exact copies of themselves meaning it’s impossible to tell which was the original. That means, the individual never “dies” until the species is replaced.
“Sex is death” is meant to be poetic/symbolic, more like how people like to compare orgasms to death.
I still think it’s a silly comparison, but it’s a common one. He wasn’t talking about genetics and animal reproduction–that’s not exactly his area of expertise.
Whew! What a relief to finally see you back in action! After hearing from Lee about the flu, and with this big a delay, I was really getting worried. This is a really enjoyable Let’s Play and I really actually want to play this game now.
One small thing you overlooked here though: that lamp post at the dock? There was a UFO there, possibly even the last one.
Yeah, she did walk right past one, but the last one is at the lighthouse.
Aww. Don’t worry, I wasn’t on my death bed =P I just wasn’t able to effectively record my voice with the coughing and such.

I feel stupid asking this, but are the voicemail messages supposed to be of Henry and his wife being an unhappy couple or just…random people?
Almost nothing in a Silent Hill game is random. Well, okay, some stuff is, but nothing major like a recurring theme.
I think putting all the ink blots on one side nets you major points towards being in denial, especially if it’s the non-sexual side.
nice to see more vids from you and lee. when you said you were sick did you have the con flu or whatever you call it? apparently nearly everyone from magfest got sick wich is wierd. I love this lp im glad this wasnt the last one. Another game that has phone numbers throughout is the darkness on the xbox 360 yeah seeing the numbers in this reminded me of that. I think it would have been cool if you got scary replys from the phone numbers something really creepy, but i guess the normal answers bring a sense of realism to the game
Wow the inkblots made my skin crawl, especially the last one.
hope you can post the last video soon cuz im trying to not find out what happends at the end of any of the endings untill you have finished the game. And since i listen to the game music on youtube its hard to try and not read the comments:S
I’ve been waiting for this a bit sad that this wasn’t the last one, I’m eager to see how everything concludes. It’s good that you’re in good health, or moderate health now.
Sorry, if I’d posted the whole rest of it, it would have been 45-50 minutes long. I prefer to keep it a little below 30.
And thanks–but sadly, I’m in good/moderate health just in time for my work schedule to pick up, so I’ll probably be taking another break from LP’s after posting the final installment of this one.
Nice review as normal. Always fun to watch you play. What is your favorite Silent Hill of all time? I want them to come out with another one for psp or wii again.
It’s a toss-up between 2 and 3, but SM is a close runner-up.
I am about the same. I love them all but haven’t played homecoming yet because I can’t afford to get a PS3.
Just a bit of advice. Don’t buy a PS3 or XBOX 360 just to play Home Coming. It’s not worth it. It’s probably the worst Silent Hill game to come out.
Just sayin’.
Homecoming sucks. Don’t play it.
I wouldn’t go so far as to say “Don’t play it”. It’s way too combat heavy for me, but some people are good at that stuff and enjoy it.
It’s definitely not worth getting a console for, tho, IMO.
